If it's noodles you're after, the noodle places at Venetian and Bellagio are good. No idea if the one at Caesars is any good.
The one at Caesars is the best of the 3 by a large margin IMO. Very different from Noodles at Bellagio, which is a soup and noodle focused pan-Asian sort of place. Beijing Noodle #9 is a pretty authentic and typical Chinese restaurant with a minor noodle focus. The food there wouldn't seem out of place in Chinatown, but the ingredients tend to be a bit better and fresher and the prices 2-3 times as high. The knife-shredded noodles with eggplant is one of my favorite dishes there.

If you're willing to spend some money and sit down for a relatively long and extravagant meal, Wing Lei at the Wynn and Blossom at Aria are both very good. Also in this category, I've heard Jasmine at the Bellagio is really good but always from rich, old, white guys at poker tables so I'm not sure I believe them.

It's fine. Fat greek is sorta similar, closer to me, and better, so I rarely go to Paymon's but if you're in the neighborhood you could do worse. I've been there several times, enjoyed everything I've had, and never had any horror story experiences.

I however disagree highly with this opinion. Rosati's is considered laughably bad for deep dish in Chicago compared to Uno's/Due's, Lou Mal's, and even Giordano's.

My meal at Jasmine was comparable to my 2 meals at Wing Lei (both back with the good chef)

Burger Bar is my go-to spot. Between Mandalay Bay and Luxor in their mall (closer to MB).

Wash between BLT Burger at Mirage and Burger Bar at Mandalay. Heard the chatter about the place at Fashion Show (Stripburger?) but haven't been there. Best gourmet burger in town though is at the bar at Bradley Ogden, but I doubt they're open for lunch.

Uno's? I'd rather get Pizza Hut.

Very good burger; comparable to BLT and cheaper iirc. But I love BLT's milkshakes.

What is the best casual dining/happy hour experience near (walking distance) from the Venetian?

Same question, only this time it is the Monte Carlo?

First at V/P is pretty good for a casual drink/beer/snack.

No idea at MC.

For the Monte Carlo area I would say the Nine Fine Irishmen at NYNY is pretty good for a casual meal.

The food is actually pretty good quality and fairly authentic Irish with a very good beer and whiskey selection. Enjoy.

Agreed, but we should add they are tied with Carnevino's bar burger, both excellent, both unique. The plus for Carne is that they are open for lunch. Both are on the expensive end for a burger, expect to spend $30 with drink tax and tip - but its worth it.

Also American Fish, if you want a slightly more upscale happy hour.

Thanks for all the replies. Don't know if it has been mentioned earlier, but the place I found for casual (and cheap!) food is the BBQ place at Ellis Island. I know I asked for near the Venitian and the Monte Carlo and this place is between the two of them. For about $11 you can get half a rack of ribs and a beer that they make right there.

The place is a real dive so it will definitely not impress the ladies. Located behind Bally's. And $5 craps on a Saturday night!

This seems as good a place as any to warn people away from the Denny's closest to MGM.

Wanting to save our money for more important things like gambling, we decided to eat cheap and having had good experiences with Denny's where we live, we decided we would have breakfast one day in Vegas. BIG MISTAKE!

It took forever to get service, it took forever to get our food (we were going to walk out when they brought our food), the food was cold, one water glass was incredibly filthy, etc. We complained again and said we were going to leave, but the manager came up said she would take care of things and asked if we would wait while they redid our food which we agreed.

By the manager saying she would take care of things, we thought we would get at least a little taken off the bill, but absolutely nothing ended up being comped.

I was going to write Denny's and complain when we got home, but I lost the receipt so I couldn't give a date and time so I ended up not writing them.

They not only lost a possible repeat customer, they made me into someone who is publicly complaining about them.

Should have went to Coco's across from MGM on Trop. for a better breakfast.
