I'm going to go to Pop's tomorrow and order a regular cheesesteak and extra cheese onions peppers and add bacon to repent.

On a side note:
Habit burger seared Ahi sandwich is very very good for fast food healthy sandwich.
And that's legit ordering preference as I don't like burgers (not just a "healthy abomination menu choice" like a chicken cheesesteak)
I haven't had The Habit since I moved here. I was impressed by them in SoCal.

Hey guys, I have been reading the last dozen pages or so of this thread. Traveling with 4 other companions for 3 days and trying to find food options for them (primarily lunches and $15 > prices). We are staying at the Aria and won't have a rental car, so hopefully looking for places ON the strip.

here is my list (ignore the location/etc).

Chada/
Shake Shack
Holstein's burgers?
Tacos El Gordo/North of Wynn
Five 50 Pizza/ Aria
Secret Pizza/ Cosmo Hotel
Rollin Smoke BBQ/ near the Wynn
Pizza Rock / Downtown
Flock and Fowl/Asian/North of the Wynn

Looking for other options/recommendations near the strip if possible. They generally like more American food and aren't super adventurous (but would probably try some stuff).

Haven't been there in a bit, but the deli at NYNY is/was a good lunch spot on the strip.

I'd add Gordon Ramsey Burgr to the list.

But to be terribly honest I think 2+2's tendency to be really thorough about things way overstates the difference between casual restaurant A and B when the value gained is so little.

Everyone talks about how amazing Holsteins and in and out and secret pizza are but the location ends up being so much more important in the end.

There's no casual restaurant (not including off strip) I've been to in Vegas that is significantly better or cheaper than the other types of that same restaurant anywhere on the strip.

Fine dining is a completely different story of course.

I believe the Tacos el Gordo north of the Wynn has moved to another location. Might want to check before you walk up there in the heat.

Nine Fine Irishmen located in the NYNY casino is good. I was going to recommend The Pub at Monte Carlo, but I believe I just read MC is doing a significant renovation and several things are closed during this.

Went to pho Saigon 8 on Spring mtn out by dakao a couple times now. Had good bun Cha and the tapioca noodle soups were good also. The reviews on Yelp are mediocre so wondering if I have a gutter palate for Vietnamese or what. Where da good Vietnamese food at?

Halal Guys just opened. Awesome. Not as good as in Manhattan but still well worth the trip. At lunch, seating is at a premium so be prepared to take out. Also the hot sauce is no joke.

Yeah managed to go there on Sunday. AC was broken so I got my **** to go. Not that it matters since there's like 6 seats in the place.

Assuming the lingo & menu is the same as various NYC locations... order a combo with white sauce and hot sauce on the side.

The combo is lamb gyro meat & chopped dark meat chicken, served over seasoned rice with iceberg lettuce, tomato, and pita triangles.

Trust me getting the sauces on the side, even if you dine in. It's the pro move

Just had some Duck Panang and crispy beef at Chada Thai and it was some of the best thai food I've ever had. Remember going to Lotus of Siam on a Vegas visit a couple of years ago and was pretty underwhelmed.

Might try Sage, Rolling Smoke and Shake Shack as well before going back home, only have a couple of days.

I feel like I'm a bit too culturally close, so I'd like an unbiased white (or black) person opinion on Cafe de Cebu on Jones (same plaza as Fukuburger) between Desert Inn and Spring Mountain. They said white people also eat there, although it was all Filipinos the times I went. Has any non-Filipino poster ever eaten there?

Got takeout from there once. It's right by my work. No one was in the place & it was kind of a weird vibe.

I believe I got the krispy kalimari & the fried rice which had lechon in it.

If I'm remembering correctly the calimari didn't have any breading or anything which was unusual to me, but the dish was ok. & the fried rice was ok, but it turns out I don't necessarily love lechon & got kind of tired of the flavor of it by the end.

On the whole I think I recall the meal being fine & I didn't regret trying it, but I don't think I ever have the intent to eat there again unless someone else really wants to.
