Todd English seems expensive - is it good?

I found it decent but ordinary. If you're stuck in the area, it's not like you're going to find anything decent-priced though.

And I think that Guinness rule is new- when I was there the bartender told me they were getting killed on people chugging Guinness.

Sunday brunch buffets: Who's the best from Wynn, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, anywhere else?

For buffets I couldn't tell you but if you go to Tableau at the Wynn for sunday brunch you'll have one of the best meals of your life. Get the Vol au vent or the french toast. I could eat either one endlessly until I die.

I found the same when I went there hammered for late night happy hour bar food since I forgot to eat dinner.

It is rather ordinary.

Nobhill has that Lobster Pot Pie that is plenty big for two people and is worth the high price tag. Not much else there but go online and look at their daily specials. Some of those are pretty good.

Seablue has a very nice happy hour with $1 oysters and shrimp. Both were good, but the oysters were better. Regular menu can set you back big bux easy if you aren't careful, but the food is good.

In MGM, I would head for Craftsteak or Fiamma instead. YMMV.

What's the best downtown restaurant that fits a Binion's 40 minute tournament dinner break?

That was my obvious first thought. A close 2nd is the 4-queens coffee shop. I just don't know if it will be crowded that day.

They have other food in the bullpen too. I don't think you could eat at any steakhouse in 40 mins. I think there is a Firefly in the Plaza too but I've never been there. You could probably eat there is less then 40.

Firefly is closed in the Plaza during the renovation. It isn't on their website anymore so maybe it isn't coming back at all. Last time I was downtown the food court was closed in the Plaza too.

Thanks Jimmy. Wife and I are sold on the french toast and the chocolate chip souffle thing. Didn't see a vol au vent on the menu online. If it's good as you say it is, I owe you a Coke.

The souffle was okay, not great. The menu online is outdated, but I was there less than a week ago and it was there. Have fun!

I know Capriotti's is listed in the first post for cheesesteaks but their Bobbie (turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce) is probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Plus, Pepsi Throwback in the cooler! Highly recommended.

Bobbie too sweet IMO. Can't taste the turkey and the turkey is dry! I much prefer Jimmy Johns.

Anyone fill me In on the no name pizza spot in the cosmo? Going to be staying there in a couple weeks and was curious. Where it is, how it is, etc.

Level 3 between Blue Ribbon and Jaleo. Best NY-style pizza in LV, IMO. I'm very picky about NY-style pizza because I lived there for 8 years before moving to LV.

One more, i am a huge liver and onions fan (if its cooked right). Any spots on the strip that do it right? Would be willing to venture off strip if its worth it.

Awesome after some heavy drinking at marquee dayclub. And prolly pretty good too, if you're sober. Slice costs $3,5 IIRC.

I also really like the burgers at holstein's at the cosmo.
