Settebello is the best pizza place in Vegas. Not mentioning it in any Vegas pizza discussion as criminal.

The real reason I opened up this thread is to inform people that Sushi House Goyemon is by far the best AYCE sushi I've ever had. It's obviously not as good as any of the Vegas standards that are all 3x the price, but in terms of value, it's a contender for #1 sushi place in Vegas.

Had pretty damn decent toro (limit 2 pieces per AYCE order). Negi Toro and Hamachi were also on the specials (unlimited amounts of those and both were great).

The edamame was perfectly cooked. This might sound trivial, but your precious Naked Fish ****s this up every single time.

Didn't have any rolls, cuz lol-rolls. All the nigiri was very good though. Pork belly appetizer also great.

Edit: $27 dinner AYCE I think? Non AYCE prices are very reasonable as well.

ZeeJustin is right, Goyemon is amazing, and I like the cut at Naked Fish as I think Naked Fish is woefully overrated by 2+2. But some of the rolls at Goyemon are amazing and should be tried out ZJ. Don't be so bougie.

As I'm from Europe, I'm looking for a couple of places that serve an early breakfast, like 5 or 6am.
I'd also like to try a place that serves steak and eggs.

I looked into those egg places as well like the Cracked Egg or something, but it doesn't seem there's any of those near the strip, right? Where can I get a nice omelet or something near the center of the strip?

Every single 24hr cafe (inside the casinos centre strip) will do steak'n'eggs and omelettes.

If you go to a 3* 24hr cafe, it will be great "value" the steak will be tough and the omelette will be ok.

If you go to a 5* 24hr cafe, the steak will be ok (but it won't be top notch steakhouse quality) and the omelette will be pretty decent, priced accordingly.

If you can hold out to 7am the breakfast buffets all have omelette stations where you can get them to cook you an omelette exactly how you want it AND you can be eating it 5 seconds later. Possibly "steak" at the higher end ones, but again it won't be the best steak ever.

Good beer selection and worth hitting up, imo.

And you can get your beer free at the bar if you chug it before their timer goes off, think it is 7 seconds or so.

Paella at jaleo is tasty. Highlights of my last meal there were the ham platter, bacon wrapped dates, and the braised veal cheek.

Guinness would be the smart play, easiest beer to chug.

nam kao tod (crispy rice with sausage appetizer)

green curry (choice of protein, i like steamed tofu best in this dish)

whole char-grilled catfish

shredded jackfruit with pork (from the northern thai section of the menu, pile of grey-green pasty stuff with bits of pork in it, tastes kinda like artichoke, not for everyone and best ordered very spicy)

beef or pork "jerky" appetizer (it's not really jerky, it isn't dried, it's deep fried but not breaded, it is very chewy in a jerky-like sort of way)

99% roll at Musashi is really good. Also the filet and prawns tepanyaki was great.

Dessy B's salad bar is a great deal. $6.99 for lunch and has chicken wings, taco's, pizza, salad bar and ice cream.

Bouchon, walk in and take the Venezia tower elevator bank and then it's down the hall. Sit outside if it's nice. It's my 2nd favorite place to be in Vegas and I go at least twice every trip.

Jaleo: ajo blanco (my favorite thing on the menu), la serena con membrillo (cheese and quince paste cone), jamon iberico, croquetas (served in a Camper sneaker - not as gross as it sounds), datiles con tocino, gambas al ajillo, fricando de carilleras, paella

(I've eaten there ~9 times and never had a bad item.)

Musashi: Yoshida special (ZeeJ convinced me to try it - he was right)

Weakest thing on Jaleo menu is their paella imo. Dry rice, bland rabbit, none of the ingredients really having a presence on their own. Aside from that, I love everything on their menu. Octopus and potatoes is highly recommended. Most tender octopus you'll ever have. Bacon wrapped dates are better than Julian Serranos imo. Their desserts are pretty boss too.

Musashi I'd recommend their baby octopus. Packed with more flavor than any other preparation I've ever had, it's all in the marinade. Grand Finale roll is their best roll I think. Don't recommend going there on a Sunday as I've been told they were half staffed some Sundays and the food quality took a dive and the service was beyond horrible.

its been said before itt, but i want to reiterate that if you decide on tepanyaki at musashi, make sure to get tiger as your chef.

FWIW , just tried this and it's $7 now. Also, the GC is only applied if you spend >$35. Plus they automatically add 18% grat. Not being a nit, but you guys can't go in and order $25 of food for that $7 you just paid ;-). Not really worth it if you're dining alone.

You can't do the seven second challenge with guiness; the rule is you are only allowed to do it with pints that are nine dollars or less. Guiness is a ten dollar pint there. For the record I mashed it up, had about two seconds to spare when I finished it. Can't remember what beer it was, but I chose something on the cream ale side of the spectrum (same rationale as guiness).

We liked the food there quite a bit, good higher end pub food (lobster rolls, sliders, pastrami burgers etc)
