I just never got the hype and don't think they're very good. I LOVE sushi including good rolls and hand rolls (usually my favorite type of roll). However, the rice:sushi/filling ratio is off and far inferior in sushi burritos.
The poke bowl, I think, as a concept is better. I got to choose the ratio of fish, rice, etc. with each bite. "I'd like just like some salmon" for my first bite. "I think I'd like some tuna and rice now," for my second. "I'd definitely like a tablespoon of wasabi all by itself now," was at play at any time I wished. It was a very enjoyable experience. I was able to curate my meal bite by bite. It was the opposite of Kabuto, but in a perfectly good way.
Ran out of fish early, but it isn't like I expected more than a few ounces of fish for $10, and having 28 lbs. of rice isn't so bad. I even got the bowl topped with kale salad, and that didn't even ruin it since pushing it to the side is an enjoyable experience.
(I'm a bit too embarrassed to say whether or not I actually liked the kale salad. Don't judge me, bro)
