I'm really enjoying your reviews. Particularly the humor in the figure captions.

Coconut cream pie is really the only pie that can give key lime a run for its money.

Now I want pie.

I'll be there in mid January, give or take a week. Staying for a while. Thinking a 3-6mo lease at Meridian or something like that. Looking forward to hanging out and to the times!

2 & 22 imo

I don't think it's bad! $4 shrimp cocktail is still quite the deal. $4 for a slice of pie is not too bad. $3.75 for a glass of milk to go with it is highway robbery though, I admit.

Or a lot of other pies.

I rather enjoy a smooth chocolate pie on a salty pretzel crust with a chocolate rosette on top. Or a pumpkin custard pie filled with cinnamon cloves on a gingerbread crust. For Christmas I think I'll try a white chocolate peppermint pie layered with peppermint whip cream on a dark chocolate cookie crust.

Maybe it's all just personal preference.

Would do mint for lunch for sure.

Chada dinner sounds like a plan. I would call and make sure they are open though.

Jimmy,

thanks so much for putting in the effort. has absolutely improved the quality of our trip.

we tried to eat at tufu hut, sunday night, 1 hr+ wait...had the 14 course at yonaka instead.

on tuesday, grabbed a seat at the chada street bar; sa Tay, pork larb, and the incredible rice fried in crab fat. added to the must visit list.

got seated this afternoon at tofu hut; rib eye, short ribs, squid and pork belly. three of us stuffed and happy for <$60. that is rare. another add.

cheers

Super happy to hear it! Next time you're in town, please use the host services on my website. Would love to put together something for you.

I'm going to have a look at the host services on your website. My only problem is that we get stuck at the poker tables and don't want to leave, so we rarely make plans. Monday, January 2, after snowboarding should work, though!

Before your site was back up we did make reservation on December 30 for Hiroyoshi (also after snowboarding). I hope it's good.

thanks but, we have no idea when we'll eat or where (when the fish go busto, that's often the signal to go for dinner)...which makes your website so useful.

Lee Canyon is a blast, at least for us. Only two lifts and blue or black (on the easy side) trails, but lines are fast and we have fun. And it's only an hour from Vegas. We have our own equipment and check bags for free, so it's pretty cheap. Granted, we are from an eastern state with no slopes, so take it with a grain of salt.
