Have you thought about adding a tag list to the front page?

It's not like that any of the fancier sushi places on the strip offers bad quality. But they all are kinda boring, not as good as a place like Kabuto and ridiculously overpriced.

That said, if you guys like to try a sushi fusion thing, Sushi Samba might be an option. Then there are the high end restaurants Roku, Yellowtail, Bar Masa and Blue Ribbon that can break your bank if you order the wrong stuff and Koi which is a level below those places both in quality and price in my opinion.

My old hidden gem was Social Lounge, but it mysteriously closed a couple years back.
Not really tbh. The offstrip spots are so much better and cheaper I have stopped trying the standard sushi spots that pop up in the casinos. BarMasa has a good reputation but it's kind like Nobu, where quality is great but not $300 great.

I'll think about it. I don't want to clutter it up too much.

He specifically asked for under $100, Cut and Carnevino would be hard to get for under that price whereas Delmonico is possible and still high quality. Carnevino's pasta makes it the best of the 3 for me personally.

For some reason I've yet to go there. Another thing on the list. Been hearing things about it for 3 years and just never gone.

Still getting the "malicious attack ahead" by Webroot. Seems like the site is fine for everyone else, settings to high?

.
Well it wasn't my opinion you asked for but when have I ever let that stop me

I think what separates top steakhouses is typically everything but the steak. I went to Delmonico recently after a long time having not been, and was pretty impressed. Steak quality was there, but I can't say it was appreciably better or worse than the other top places. Starters and sides though offered a clear alternative, as does their insane whiskey list. If you want a New Orleans type of menu for everything BUT steak, that's the place. It's like going to Carnevino for the pasta and other Italian items, which I think is the reason to go there. Cut is the only place I can think of that actually offers a steak alternative that is different than the others.

Hey Jimmy! Cool site. One recommendation would be to try mess with the white balance on your camera. I'm sure the lighting in some of these places is really tricky, but if you can peg the white balance to the plate it will correct a lot of the color distortion of the photos.

Jimmy Food Host questionnaire is awesome too.

Thanks buddy. Photoing is difficult because flash does NOT work and I'm just using my iphone camera. I think I'm pretty good at food photography but I'll play with the white balance next time I'm doing it.

It's also usually hard to do quickly because everyone wants to eat and I'm holding it up.

Great site
Thanks! Glad it's working, appreciate the info.

New reviews should be coming next few days. Have a few mexican places in the works and one of my favorite late night spots.

+1 to all of this, he's a really nice guy and his recommendations have always been super great.

Glad to see the site's back up, will follow it and dream of the food I could be eating if I was in Vegas...
