JF, Rollin smoke has expanded and is more crowded as ever. Of course its still slightly over priced and can vary from day to day in quality. Still... whats a person to do for BBQ that isnt famous daves (horrible) or on the strip.

To someone unfamiliar with Indian food I would recommend a few safe options such as chicken masala, chicken 65, butter chicken, Tandoori chicken, naan, lemon rice, rice pudding and would recommend you avoid everything else until you become more acclimated to Indian food.

Indian food is one of the most flavorful cuisines out there. The biggest issue I find afflicting many Indian restaurants is that their meat is subpar or overcooked. The meat is often disguised within a flavorful sauce but when chicken meat is dry I tend to notice anyway.

Jimmy, I will be in town this weekend with a big Gordon Ramsay fan who wants to go to one of his casual restaurants. (not the steak one)

His Pub at Caesars is what I was planning on but I just checked Yelp..only 3 stars? wat?

Which would you recommend between his Pub, the Burgr one or the Fish and Chips one?

The best experience we had was at the steak one, obviously. I went to BurGR as well and it was fine but nothing compared to the best burger places.

Would probably say go to the fish and chips one because that one probably has to be pretty decent since they're not selling as universally best selling as burgers and steaks but I haven't been there to verify.

If the chef/owner is mostly famous for yelling at people on TV, the restaurant is not for people who are serious about their food.

His signature London restaurant has 3 Michelin stars, even though there has been controversy (e.g. Hardens) and I think it never made it on the "World's 50 best restaurants" list. But I don't think any other of his restaurants fit the "world class" bill, even if you use the term very leniently.

Me and my friend are across from Jimmy in the Chada pics, he bought after the donkey who crushed me at 20/40 LHE at the Bellagio redistributed a good chunk of that to Jimmy. Thanks again Jimmy, I still owe you dinner sometime, but my trips to Vegas are pretty sparse these days, probably not again until WSOP.

You should really try to go offstrip. You'd be hardpressed to make it under $100 a person at most places on the strip but if you spend $10 on a cab ride you can go to Musashi and have a great experience for less than $50. Ditto sushi.

On strip, I guess try Delmonico. No good sushi places that you won't drop $100 on the strip to be honest, you can either spend more or get some whatever quality stuff. Umiya is RIGHT off strip though and $26 for great quality AYCE.

Hmm. Is there any sushi on the strip you'd recommend? Whats the least worst of the bunch. Sometimes I'm with a group that insists on staying on strip.

My old hidden gem was Social Lounge, but it mysteriously closed a couple years back.
