Haven't been out in almost 4 years.

Aria's 1/3NL used to be the least raked small game IIRC. That still the case? (on/near the strip or downtown) Rio still gouging it's cash players w jumbo rake??

I know a lot of the local nits pay attention to this hahaha so please chime in

thanks!

Caesars Palace is the only $4 (no drop) poker room left on the strip. MGM raised their rakes to $5 and Venetian and Wynn did too. MGM Grand now takes a drop of $2 and a few of the other MGM owned rooms do as well while CET rooms still take $1 drop.

What's a "drop?" Is that the rake they auto-take every hand? I've heard the phrase "no flop, no drop."

What are the comp situations now? Used to be $2/hr right? Is it still $2?

I heard they're raising rake at Caesar's to $5 now too. Can someone comment on whether that's true? Also did anyone notice a jump in difficulty as Caesar's because it has the lowest rake in town and obviously only grinders really care about that?

Caesars has always been one of the grindier rooms. It's 1/2 and it offers tier points. There are of course a decent number of drunk tourists particularly on the right nights, but there are also a lot of older nits.

Really? The five or six times I played 1/2 there it was fishy AF. Did not encounter a single solid grinder.

He is right. Only 1/2 game that offers 34 tier credits an hour add the $4 rake with no jackpot/high hand drop = a lot of grinders

What's the joke ? Can't you ask for information without having to seemingly look down on the "local nits" whose knowledge you seek ?

Try PokerAtlas ?

ikr...might even be better hourly than some of the 1/3 games. I dunno why people say it's tough probably just trying to discourage you from playing there. It's like those guys saying OMG OMG Aria 1/3 so tough full of grinders. Was not tough at all.

Touched a nerve?

Lovingly teasing those in the association of miserly locals is all. Not really looking down on anyone

Venetian went from $2 an hour back to $1 an hour, Wynn went from $2 an hour to $1.50 an hour, and comps at MGM properties now expire after a year so if you have any old comps that you got more than a year ago, they are all gone.

The Orleans still technically has only $3 rake in their 1/3 game, but they also have a $2 promo drop, and $1 of it goes to promotions that you can only get if you put in a ton of hours.

They're not paying more rake per hour; this makes no sense.
