how will traffic be from LA to LV this weekend?

specifically the I-15 - that drive, when there is traffic, is the worst.

im guessing friday due to the holiday weekend, will be insane. what about saturday traffic? is saturday traffic usually a little better than friday (i hope)?

and which times is the busiest/which times should we try to avoid?

On Saturday, traffic going to Vegas should be very light, especially if you're on the road in the morning.

Definitely wait until Saturday. Even if you leave by noon Friday it could still be that ****tiness of 70-80mph but crowded in the whole way.

Do not drive.

Fly out of one of the smaller airports, like Long Beach or Burbank. 45 min flight and no hassle with security. (DO NOT do LAX)

Cheers,

S

If the last snow is Thursday before noon, I15 will be clear Friday afternoon.

I'd fly out, especially during this time of year with this weather

The drive from Vegas to West LA on a Sunday is one of the worst human experiences imaginable. Never again.

I could not agree more.

all you want to do is get home, and is made worse if one is severely hung over...

On most weekends, this can be avoided by leaving Vegas either before 10:00 AM or after 7:30 PM.

Of course, that means you either need to wake up early or you will getting home late, which is less than ideal.

Best to just fly.

Re: how will traffic be from LA to LV this weekend?

Picture if you will a 2 hour drive from wherever you were on the strip to the Nevada border, 40 miles away. Then the next 100 miles mostly fine, until it becomes stop-and-go 10-20 miles from the aggie checkpoint. Then somewhere between sluggish and screwed from Barstow all the way back to LA. That's a Sunday. God help you if there's also an accident in there somewhere.
