I was trying to see if any of the other Vegas poker rooms give line priority based on tier status for Wynn, MGM, Venetian, etc.

Several of the Caesars based rooms give priority to Diamond and 7 star I was aware of that.

Do any of the MGM Casinos such as Bellagio or Aria give priority to any of the MGM Tier statuses to be moved to top of poker room lists? How about Wynn?

No, not even for Noir. Only exists at Caesars.

Maybe it's changed but I remember playing at Bellagio pre covid and they even made a game 10 handed for a Noir player.

Although there's a plo player at Aria who has Noir and waits on the list and he would also wait back then so maybe different priorities have different rules.

Creating a game and jumping ahead on a list are two different things. They basically just threw the whale in the shark tank.

I’m Platinum btw and I could never skip lines at Aria or Bellagio, even before Covid.

Not platinum,Noir.
I think that may have been a Bellagio thing and not across the board at mgm properties.

Platinum has never been able to skip.

"Never" is a long time, when in fact there were separate podiums at the Bellagio for years.

A few bucks greasing a palm worked wonders to get priority on seating.

You do recall the Doug Dalton era ?

Reportedly, there were semi-private games running more recently, despite clear gaming policy against the practice

(In a similar vein, a friend at the podium proved invaluable once upon a time for safe deposit holders who got tipped off that the Feds were going to raid boxes.)

Oh the Bellagio was corrupt as hell back then.

The thing about being tipped off about the raid is hilarious though.

I'm pretty sure actual MGM makes room for noir, but that's only 1/2 and sometimes 2/5 during the summer.

Works at Bay sometimes too, but I knew a floor that was a manager that told me if he ever saw that happen, he would fire the floor. I've still seen guys do it, sometimes it only takes 1 red(yellow there) chip.

I used to do the "implied bribery" method. ie, talk to the floor, and mention that if he needed an open chair filled fast, I would be right here. Then if seated quickly, tip.

Nowadays it's just straight up bribery. Get there, talk to the floor, pass the $20 during the handshake. Shrug.

I don't play there very much these days, but has worked the last 5 times.

Wow, twenty bucks? I never paid more than five. Guess I was lucky I never had to call for the floor for a ruling.

Then there's the Bellagio. It used to be if you didn't cough up the cash, you got passed over on the list like you never signed up. If you were trying to make the poker rate, they would "forget" to log your hours, so that your "$159" room ends up costing you $300. I think it's somewhat better now but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I could probably pay less. $5 was the implied bribery tip I used to use. But at this point, I just want to play, and I'm fine with the $20.

FWIW, that second podium was for the elevated high stakes poker area towards the bathrooms.

Tipping to get a seat worked in both areas though. Especially with the manual lists. You'd just stick around the podium while waiting and when a seat opened they said the name once in a relatively quiet voice. If nobody responded immediately the floor would look at you to let you know you're that person now.

I'm also pretty sure Bellagio isn't the only place where you can skip the line if you're a real life VIP. I've played with several professional athletes who certainly didn't have to wait in line unless they had somebody else wait for them while they hung out in a different place in the casino.

Also depends on the stakes you play. At the Bellagio a red chip usually helped if you played 2/5 or lower. For 5/10 and up you'd need a green one.

I was talking about San Jose. I pretty much refused to tip at Bellagio because they pissed me off. At least at Bay 101 you got the expected service without a tip. Sure, you had to wait two hours, but when it was time for your name to come up, you got your seat. At Bellagio, you didn't get what you were entitled to, so I raised a stink every time and I usually got the seat I had waited for. I really hate that room, but the games are a lot better than I can find elsewhere, so sometimes I whore myself out and play there.

I know a few poker dealers at the MGM Grand. What they told me was that for Noir members they only perk they give them is that they give them a dealers chair to use while they play. idk about any of the other rooms, but the normal seats at MGM Grand as of now are absolute garbage, so that makes sence.
