I wish I could find it again, but I remember reading an infographic that had risks for STDs and AIDS in general. In a subtle way, it drove the point home that the fear of AIDS can be overblown. There are direct correlations to the particular type of activity (hetero/h0mo, sex act, etc) and the demographics (age, race, etc) and the risk of AIDS. Not all the risks are built the same when it comes to AIDS. I cant remember the exact numbers, but I remember that being the male in hetero intercourse with certain demographics actually presents a relatively low risk of AIDS transmission.

You didn't see hookers in there because contracting aids from vaginal intercourse is not automatic like you are describing, especially when you are using a rubber.
