Re: help me pick a hotel for 10 year anniversary

For what it's worth, JR is the best meal in Vegas and an incredible experience as others have said. Just depends on what you want to remember about your anniversary meal. Picasso, with a table outside with a view of the fountains is arguably the most romantic meal in Vegas, as well as a great meal.

The big tradeoff you always have to do in Vegas is upscale top tier hotel regular room vs 2nd tier hotel suite.

I think you should post what your rough budget per night is.

Terrace/wraparound suite at Cosmo definitely the way to go.

Wrong. Hotel 32 is nice, but then you're stuck in the Monte Carlo.

Wynn/Encore, Aria, Cosmo, Four Seasons should be the only hotels you're looking at. Cosmo suite with view of the Bellagio Fountains is your best bet.

I like Mandarin, but for my money, I'd stay elsewhere. That's all. Same with Vdara.

Re: help me pick a hotel for 10 year anniversary

I'm seeing Mandarin prices to be in line with Cosmo prices for when I am planning to go this year.

Also seeing Vdara being cheaper than Aria.

Having never stayed at either MO or Vdara, I want to ask if the price is the same, which would you pick between Cosmo and MO?

Same question for Vdara vs Aria.

I mean...what ya gonna do? Take a few new pics to show off to others to convince them you still love each other? Contrive an excuse to have sex and make yourselves believe it's still good? Hopefully, give yourselves reason to think you haven't been wasting this last decade?

Just saying...
*******.. The guy didn't ask how to rekindle his marriage. He asked for advice on a hotel. If you can't help him with that then STFU.

Just ignore the troll, he only pops up when he feels the need to spew some hatred about women.

You pick Mandarin over Cosmo when you want true grown-up luxury, quiet, and attention to detail that a hotel like that will deliver. And grape vodka. Cosmo's brand of "luxury" will be young, hip & stylish. I'm at a point in my life where I prefer the former, but I don't always prefer it when in Vegas.

Vdara vs Aria is more of just a quiet vs non-quiet thing. There's nothing particularly luxurious about Vdara, at least not in the way a Mandarin/Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton would be. It's nice in an upscale apartment kind of way.

The terrace suite at Cosmo over Bellagio fountains was the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in by far. $20 trick might get you an even better upgrade.

Re: help me pick a hotel for 10 year anniversary

OP, it really depends on what you and your wife are like. Are you very active people who like to explore outside or do you like to stay in your room more? It sounds like you will be spending a while in the room since its your 7th trip.

Does she like to lounge around in a bath?

I have several female friends who has to have a great bathtub in their hotel room so that might factor in.

Is she more impressed by the view or by the size of the room. Is she in to funky materials, textures, and modernist furnishings?

Also, narrow down your search a bit. We've already told you where the top properties are. Then search for those specific rooms/suites in those specific properties on youtube and see for yourself.

Re: help me pick a hotel for 10 year anniversary

I would stay at many other places before Mandarin. Just seemed to quiet there. It's Vegas, need to have fun!

I did just two weeks ago eat at Twist at Mandarin celebrating my 5th anniversary. highly suggest that. Only do it if you do the pre fix menu, they really took care of us. And the window view was amazing. Really small restaurant with very romantic atmosphere. Food was amazing. Bill was close to 400, but worth it on such a big celebration!
