now imagine him turning down the Nugget b/c he wants to continue to play there. that almost seems like something nuts he would do.

I doubt G-Nug is hiring. They just laid off 100+ employees after the series ended.

A dealer at the Flamingo the other night was saying that out of the 1,000 or so dealers who worked at the WSOP, he was the only one that got newly hired to work in a Vegas room after the series.

The Trooper looks tired. Very very tired.

I wonder how he could possibly know that?

There are definitely a lot of poker rooms on the Strip that need a guy like Trooper. When I walk by a room like Luxor in August it's often empty. And looking at Bravo right now many of the rooms have around 1-3 games total.

The line to deal in one of those rooms is long from what I understand. There are a ton of dealers who would want to work in a LV poker room so it's not an insta-hire of the Trooper.

His vlog might even be a liability. Not every poker manager wants his employee talking on YouTube everyday and maybe saying something about internal information that shouldn't be shared. Or complaining about having to go to work.

Possibly one of the appealing things about LINQ was knowing if Trooper was there, it wouldn't take long before he was dealing at your table. If he deals at a room with 15 tables you could be there a while and still not have him deal at your table. So people who go to a larger room to see him will be disappointed more often.

Anyone know the link to poker kraut's (sp?) youtube channel?
I know he was in a couple of tim's videos but can't remember which one or if there's a link to his in those.
youtube searches haven't found him either.

Agree. its why I used the word pitch. It is definitely a sell for the exact reason you mention. I would also imagine there is a possibility of workplace haters which could affect the employees cohesion. And yes the fuc fuc song, exploitation of homeless and the "slut parade"/Heux thing proly are detractors

Talked to MGM manager today. They have 12 on call experienced dealers looking for full-time hours that are now only getting 15 hours a week. In addition to their core dealers. He said Aria and Bellagio had longer lines of hopeful dealers.

Try it again, but type Pokerkraut as one word. It is literally the very first item that comes up in the search.

I find it funny how people think working in the "big" rooms is the best. IMO, it's much better to work in a room that attracts mostly recreational players.

I fell out of my chair when he started complaining of having to go work at the LinQ

Agreed, he seems like a very cool dude. But man does he suck at poker . When he showed 34cc and called an UTG open in UTG+1 I thought he probably discusses strategy with Tim.

I've had him pitch cards to me before at the Linq. I didn't know that he even had a vlog. Pretty cool. I also LOL'ed at the "complaining". I wouldn't call it complaining necessarily, we all have bad days where work is the last thing you wanna do. So I can empathize with anyone who "just doesn't feel like working today". I've seen it from both sides of the coint. When I was making 10-12K a month net back in the day selling cars, the last thing I'd want to do it go into the dealership to "work" again. Losing absolutely everything and moving to Vegas to work a $12/hr job (capped at 35hrs a week) for 6 months until I got stable made me much more humble about my feelings on "going to work".

Anyone with a full time job with some job security should be grateful. Things could be MUCH worse..... as is evident by the closing of the Linq poker room. For the sake of these good people that they had working at the Linq, I hope that another casino picks them up very soon. Pokerkraut & Trooper are both some of the best dealers in town and would easily be among the best dealers in any room in town.

I do have a question to Trooper. How easy is a lateral transition into another department? For instance if you were to deal some BJ & 3-Card poker, or move into the Sportsbook is that something that could immediately happen? Or are you stuck going through the process or reapplying?
