I saw the name of the place and looked up the address and instantly decided it was a troll or a level. That's one of the most methy/cracky parts of the city. I've had crackheads approach me in parking lots in broad daylight and follow me to my car.

I have to agree with you Trooper. I laugh at those who say nobody bluffs, or it is very rare, at 1/2 or 1/3 games which you see a lot in the hand discussion threads. Usually the people who you find saying that are those who have moved onto bigger games and haven't played at these stakes for years, or just do it while waiting for a 2/5 seat to open up. I can attest to the fact that bluffs are alive and well at the lower stakes.

What's the deal with the scantily clad chicks dancing on the stage? Is it advertising for someplace? I can't imagine people are throwing dollar tips like at a strip club.

It's to get people to buy drinks there. Honestly, I don't mind the added ambiance.

He seemed upbeat when he announced the changes, so I am guessing they would be positive. Also, it has been said on here that the Linq Poker room managers seems to know that his VLOGs gets players into their room so I can't imagine them laying him off at this point.

Of course the trolls will say he got laid off or that we will hear some other bad news. I wouldn't be surprised if a troll said he is moving into the sewers with the homeless people.

It's false when people say that nobody bluffs at 1-2. But do they bluff enough that you should call them? Players will c-bet a lot when they miss but I don't think they bluff nearly as much on the turn and river when the bets get bigger. One thing I do see all the time is players mostly (if not always) waiting for cards before they bet big and players playing fit or fold after the flop. You definitely don't want to pay off those players. One spot I think some players will bluff big is when they have a big draw on the flop.

I thought Trooper was going to complain that people say you can't bluff at 1-2 and that's something I hear a lot more often and isn't true in many of the games I've played in.

That's crazy talk, people bluff all the time in those games, more than in the 2/5 games i've played. Granted i usually play in Milwaukee but can't imagine it's that different in Vegas.

I think this indeed. Linq Poker room probably closing shop for the 20th time. I hope - and expect - they will employ our boy else where.

Some people got it right, The Linq Poker room is closing. TheTrooper does not have another job lined up. People don't last long in Vegas without a steady source of income.


Edit: Just got to the end of the video. Damn, it's been a bad 7 days of poker. Hopefully you see some run good in the near future.
