I don't tend to read the the do's and don't about posting the various sub-forums on 2+2 because I'm not going to be any kind of raging racist/homophobe/stalker/abusive/psycho spammer/scammer etc. But I understand that others may be and that's why there are rules. That being said, closing this thread to protect delicate sensibilities seems like going overboard. Two Plus Two in general can be a rough-and-tumble kind of place, but who cares? That's part of the appeal. This site is built on the back of adults engaging in adult activities. Warts and all.

Tim is a guy that presents an aggressive, super-strong personality that put himself out there and invited us along for the ride. If at some point he wanted to pick up his ball go home because he doesn't like it here anymore that's fine, but the whole playground should't be shut down just because he doesn't want to play anymore.

If people are bothered enough by what they read they're free to leave. If they don't like what they're seeing, but still engage, then that's on them. If they violate forum rules then ban them.

This is a good point. This thread certainly doesn't seem to be losing any momentum and I also can't see closing it even if it's a toxic waste dump full of trololo. Getting clicks is technically the bottom line. SJW's usually go to Tumblr if they don't want the feelings hurt, and you can simply banhammer the handfull of stalkers who have the tendency to go extremes.

Most admins are not part owners of the site they are moderating. So they don't see the big picture and often do things they think that are right, but to the detriment of the site they are moderating.

I think shutting everything down would be ashame. If anything this is a cautionary tale that should be shared.

The decision to lump all the Vlogs together into one massive thread was pure AIDS.

It made it much more difficult to follow, and the tone of the comments went to hell when people started comparing the different vlogs to each other.

These threads went from "enjoyable", to "why even bother to click on the cesspool".

If Trooper and the others each were allowed to remain in their own threads, none of this bull**** would have happened.

Might as well nuke it now..too bad the mods couldn't leave well enough alone..

This thread has been awful for 6 months and 99% of my post reports come from it. I shut it down a few months ago and everyone started whining to the admins to get it back open and everyone promised they would be good and it went back to this awful dumpster fire that it is now. I'm locking this thread as it has absolutely run its course. The other forums will likely be way less lenient about the discussions as they transpired here than I was.

If you want to appeal my decision, take it to About the Forums. I assure you it will make my year.
