Which free hotel room? (Caesar's Diamond) Which free hotel room? (Caesar's Diamond)

I'm going alone to Vegas in Aug for a week.
on the Totalrewards website, I got a ton of free rooms to choose from.

Flamingo- FAB room, Fab executive, Studio (King/2 double beds)
Linq- deluxe room, luxury room
Ballys- Indigo, jubilee, Indigo jr suite
Paris- Classic, Burgundy room, Red room,
Harrah's- Carnival, Mardi Gras, Valley
Rio- Classic suite, Deluxe suite, Luxury suite, Premium suite
Planet Hollywood- Ultra hip room, Ultra Resort room

the 3 that stick out are:
Flamingo's Studio (king bed)
Bally's Jr Suite
Rio's Premium Suite

Anyone here stay at a few of these rooms?
Which ones and What did you think of them?

Which room would you recommend?

I would recommend booking at Paris or PHo and trying for a free suite upgrade at check-in. Ballys might also work....I always used to get free suite upgrade there pretty easily, though I failed on my most recent trip so the policy may have changed. I believe the PHo rooms are all very recently renovated and the last one I saw was reeealy nice.

I definitely don't recommend Flamingo or Rio.

If you are diamond, they will try to upgrade you at the diamond check-in line/area.

Regarding the ones you highlighted -
- I think the Bally's Indigo tower is pretty old and ugly - that particular suite is weird, it has the bathtub out in the middle of the room
- Same with the Rio suite you mentioned - that isn't even really a suite, all Rio's rooms are called "suites" but those types of rooms you listed are all just big hotel rooms
- The Flamingo studio room is just a big hotel room too

As stated above, go with PHo or Paris, and then ask your diamond check-in if there are any complementary upgrades available for your level. Even if they don't, those are the two nicest properties/rooms on your list. 'Nicest' not necessarily equivalent to 'biggest'.

the studio king bed isn't in a separate room like on flamingo's site?

Planet Hollywood is by far the best choice IMO. Great location and nice room.

What they show is accurate but it's not a fully separate room for the bed (there's an opening, not a door / physical barrier), which is how I define the suite. If you want a big room it will be OK. Would still rather stay at a nicer property and see if the diamond line upgrades you into something bigger (or at least a nice view / high floor kind of thing).

Only issue with PH is the pool. Other than that it's easily the best

Do not stay at Rio - friend is there at the moment on comps and they have some drainage/water issue. He's been moved several times and the rooms keep getting worse

I just stayed in PH. Room was pretty nice. If you are getting a car, parking is a giant pain in the ass. It takes forever to get from hotel to the parking garage and I find it a pain in the ass to drive around that loop to get to the parking garage. Pool was pretty bad too.

I usually chose the Flamingo when I have a choice of Caesar's properties rooms. Mostly because I like the pool there the most and parking is pretty painless.

Easily the worst thing about PHo is the noise. The noise in the casino is a non-stop assault on your senses. After an hour or two in their I start looking for a clock tower and a rifle.

+1 on planet hollywood. diamond lounge is really good. and he gets free valet with diamond which makes proximity to parking garage not an issue.

In this situation it is better to be a small fish in a big pond rather than a big fish in a little pond. So pick the lower tier ROOM in the higher tier HOTEL. The furniture in a suite in an old hotel will be old and nasty and while you will have tons of square footage, what the heck are you gonna do with it?

Take a room in PHo or Paris and do what everyone else mentioned and try to get upgraded upon check in. $20 trick helps too. Worked for me at Paris last winter when I had family visiting. They got a big room when we booked a basic room and everything was freshly renovated and nice.

Resort room at PH is going to be the biggest on the list, plus newly renovated with a refrigerator. Valet for diamond is convenient, downstairs lobby elevators go up the room so you don't even have to deal with the loud onnoxious casino. Most of the 20 somethings that stay there are not Diamond so you can cut in front of all of them at one of the two Starbucks in the morning. Diamond lounge at PH is second nicest on the strip (to Caesar's Palace)

Rooms at Paris are nice but they're only about 350 ft.² versus 420 ft.² for the Planet Hollywood ultra hip room or 585 for the resort room.

Studio suite at Flamingo will be a comparable size as a resort room at Planet Hollywood but you would be in a run down casino and those rooms have not been renovated. The other resorts are not even worth a consideration if you can be comped at PH.

Assuming you play poker, the walk over to Aria and Bellagio would not be bad if you don't want to deal with valet. That is, once you figure out the best door/how to exit the casino.

I have the same choices every summer, as much as I hate the noise and chaos of Planet Hollywood the rooms there are by far the nicest it if you're not going to be at CP.

I just stayed in a Jubilee room at Bally's and it is substantially nicer than the Indigo rooms. Recently remodeled with nice fixtures and a mini-fridge. I like the poker room there and the parking garage is reasonable as far as ease on entry/exit.

My favorite place by far used to be TI but I get no free rooms there and the poker room no longer exists as far as I'm concerned.

Nothing at Caesars was available to you? If by some chance they are, that is the obvious choice. The Augustus tower rooms are awesome.

However, don't overlook the recently renovated rooms at Harrah's, specifically the Valley Tower rooms. Very nice and completely remodeled as long as the "old school feel" of Harrah's itself doesn't bother you. It worked out well for us in the winter since we didn't need the pool (as Harrah's pool sucks) but if that doesn't matter to you, they are really nice rooms!

Oofah. I am supposed to stay there one night next week. Really wanted to crash there because of the WSOP. Bail out?

I was just at the flamingo last night getting drunk trying to play the 1/1 PLO and 1/2 cash games. Pretty gross property.

Caesars is nice - and PH is decent. I heard the LINX upgraded their rooms. I stayed at harrahs upgraded rooms last year and they were nice.

I'm in an airbnb this year. So can't help more than that. I would just not stay at flamingo, I don't think I would ever go back there.

scratching Rio from my list:

Water at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino tested positive for legionella bacteria aka Legionnaires' disease.
Guests who got sick stayed at the Las Vegas hotel in March and April

The only problem with doing the whole PH and then upgrade thing is that PH has a really low inventory of suites that arent monster baller suites. A lot of times they literally dont have anything nicer that they can offer you.

There are a lot of other factors, like what you are going to do, whether you have a car, and the age range of crowd you like to be around.

Ignoring that. PHO, Paris, Discounted but not free Caesars/Cromwell rooms (not mentioned, I realize) then the rest in no particular order.

I stayed in a free Flamingo room about a year ago. Wasn't great, but wasn't gross. Not sure about the whole place but my room had all hardwood floors, which I find considerably less gross than hotel carpeting. YMMV.
