I know that since i didnt make it with 10k last time, and am only moving back this time with 1-2k, my chances are slim.. but at the same time "When u have nothing, u have nothing to lose" and I have a translator job waiting for me if i dont make it and i will keep my return ticket money safe in the bank..

I will be getting my paycheck at the end of the month (I already handed over my resignation from my current job), after that I will book my ticket. I wanted to make this thread to get some advice and tips from you guys and also I want to post about how my life was (poker-wise) in the last 4 years, maybe it will help me more identify what i did wrong and make it right this time..

Waiting to welcome you at Vegas. I came here with similar intentions but with lower stack ($6 k). I am doing good at Rio in $ 235 deep-stacks and will play another one Today (Sunday)

Will exchange notes how you do.

By the way I like your spirits and I believe you will do well.

You will be surprised to know that your stories (and mine) are not Unique.

It happens at Las Vegas thousands of times every year. Many gold diggers come to Las Vegas with their life saving, loose everything and then go back. This story repeats many times for some persistent souls.

Some do make it with hard work. Few top poker pros are in this list of successful gold diggers.

However Nothing (except trying) stops you to become a big time Poker Pros in 2012 and beyond.

Good luck and see you at the Two plus party at MGM on July 6th.

Re: Following my dream AGAIN! Moving to Vegas in July

I am most likely going to book my ticket next wednesday (when i get my paycheck), and I am just finishing off some stuff at work and semi-annual reports, etc. I will be done maximum by 9th of July - If am very lazy - so I will be most likely booking my ticket on 10-14th of July..

@Shomes77: I know that our stories aren't unique and Its not the first time I go to vegas with all I own and go bust, I did this almost 2 years ago.. But b4 I went bust I quadripled up my bankroll over 6 months period then I just got stupid and moved to games I can't afford.. So I can beat 1/2 n 2/5 games, just gotta be patience and keep working on my game and never think I am good enough cuz I CAN ALWAYS WORK ON ME GAME and get better... I hope we both make it [I will PM you when am in vegas]

@scar3face: thanks man I really think that cuz some 2+2ers are following my thread now, I will pay much more attention and play my best every session.. Hope I make it!!

Not sure that what you are doing is the best plan, but the quality of your writing and of your story itself is interesting enough to keep me reading.

Op sounds like he has serious psychological issues. Manic depressive maybe? This move is a terrible idea. Take some time, keep your job, see a shrink and work on some of these issues. You dont have the right temperament for this at all.
