Wynn area - cheap & healthy food? Wynn area - cheap & healthy food?

Hey everyone,

Planning a new last minute one week trip to Vegas. Considering staying at the Wynn, however I was wondering what are the cheap & relatively healthy food options around the hotel, within walking distance?

Last time I stayed at the Aria and the Monte Carlo food court was right next door (Subway etc), I could walk to a Walgreens / CVS, and I got comped to the buffet numerous times. Hence my food budget was reasonable.

Are there any similar options at the Wynn or in the area? I dont feel like eating at high end places every day for lunch and dinner.

Also, does anyone know if the rooms at the Wynn have an empty fridge I can use?

Thanks

As a tourist, everybody in the US looks at me weird when I say I love Denny's lol

But anything else except Dennys around? A subway, a grocery store / drugstore with food or some place relatively cheap with a salade bar or something?

+1 for FSM food options. In addition to Chipotle check out Red Velvet Cafe at Fashion Show... phenomenal salads IMHO.

Sounds like there are several options, thanks everyone.

Also, the Fashion Show Mall seems to have a Subway according to google maps.

Looks like a nice area, Wynn here I come.

Taco el Gordo in the Shopping plaza right beyond the fashion show on the right hand side has delicious authentic style tacos for $2. Blows chipotle outa the water IMO.

Otoh, why are you staying at Wynn and looking for dirt cheap food? You don't need to succumb to food courts to eat on the cheap.

Top of Nordstom's(in Fashion Show) I believe has very legit cafe. Reasonable prices and good shrimp pasta/chicken meals/sandwhiches etc.

If you can get to Paradise, FireFly gots the tappas.

I dont intend to only eat for cheap, and I will be enjoying some higher end restaurants.
Also, I'm considering the Wynn because of the location. I play mostly 2/5 and last time I stayed at Aria, so I had easy access to Aria / Bellagio. Now I'm thinking that staying at Wynn will give me easy access to Wynn / Venetian. Just looking to change things up.

Was also considering Harrahs, cheaper and still a good location, but I'm lazy and like having a room in the casino I play the most at.

As someone who is health conscious as you appear to be i like staying at a lower-cost hotel across from where i plan to play and Harrah's is a great value option. It is refreshing to get in a 5-minute walk in fresh air and sunshine as long as it is not in the dead of summer. I'll do that a couple times a day to use my hotel room rather than casino facilities and it keeps you mentally fresh from sitting at a table for 12 consecutive hours or more.

If you consider Walgreens healthy food, then yes, there is a Walgreens within walkind distance of the Wynn (at the Venetian).

Relatively health conscious, not a health freak, I just don't want to spend the week eating unhealthy / greasy food combined with a few nice dinners here and there.
And also, I'm lazy. However taking walks is always refreshing, especially after / before sessions, that's very true.

Just checked the prices on Harrah's website, and i would save 300 bucks vs the Wynn (thats using Wynn's poker room rates) for a week's stay. Interesting...

The first time I visited Vegas I did this- stayed at Harrahs played at V and Wynn. Its very convenient and decent room. Since living here, I prefer V and Wynn to Bellagio and Aria, but I'm sure others disagree. Either way, you'll enjoy the other part of the strip. Get your Grand Lux on 24/7. If you like Korean, go up Spring Mountain 1/2 mile for DJK.
