LVL cure for run bad = poasting up a pic of you at the poker table along with several others at the table enjoying greyhounds! This should engage the boom switch

Will try that today/tonight after moving to MGM....let's just say we had a night of "stress relief"....let's see if it will help us change our luck!

As expected...the fiance is sleeping in and I'm up at 8am. Going to freshen up and head downstairs to see if there's any 1/2 game...if not I may hike to aria for some action. I do have to come back to the room by 11 because that's our checkout time. Hopefully MGM will let us check in early!

Will post pics of poker but probably no greyhounds since its so early in the morning...

Felt like a fresh vacation again! Run good begins! Checked out at Monte Carlo at 11 and got to MGM grand at around 11:15.

Short lineup at the check in line and a little anxious about doing the $20 trick. Fiance was certain its not going to work. 5 minutes later... Time is here we were told that this Asian guy can help us. Fiance and I looked at each other and smirked. In our head I know we are both saying "our Asian brother". Handed him the $20 sandwich and he puts the $20 bill on the side... Chatted him up a bit and asked if we can do early check in and also if there is any upgrades available... Couple minutes later he said "I got you guys a room at the top floor grand tower with city view". Sweet! It worked!!



Room is soooo much better than what we had at Monte Carlo! It actually looks clean and slick! Decided to drop our bags and head down for the buffet included in our stay.

Run good continues again as today there is Sunday brunch with unlimited champagne! Mimosa to start our day!!



Plan is to check out MGM casino, Hershey store and Excalibur and then head over to bellagio at night for the "O" show at 7:30

Sweet upgrade!!!! Well worth the $20 gamble!

If you like chocolate, check the Ethel M factory tour in Henderson, or find one of their stores at the airport.

Also, the Bellagio used to have a chocolate store with a fountain. It's off to the left when you enter, down the hallway that leads to the back tower rooms.

Another day in the wraps in Vegas! Eventful day but not so good on the tables....lost a bunch today again...guessing around $600. Its gotta get better soon right?

So to continue the last post... we checked out different casinos today and really liked Excalibur! Great design and layout and we had tons of fun at the arcade using only $10 to blow off some steam.

Walked around and had a snack at Pink's... Really good hot dogs! We find that we don't eat too much here maybe because of the alcohol we have been drinking while losing tons of money.



After that we went to bellagio and watched the "O" show. Stage was great but the show was kinda meh... Not worth the $420 we spent for the show.



Decided to try to bust the myth here and got my first $50 bill....let's hope this will change our luck!



Ended the night back at MGM... Lost at let it ride but made it back in electronic craps... This guy rolled 20 straight and fiance 7 out in 2 rolls so decided to call it a night....maybe.... May head down for some poker but its 1:20am right now... I'll update here if I decided to go back down!

Go to sleep. Lack of sleep is one of the easiest leaks to have in Vegas.

Wasn't sure if I should go so I asked my fiance... She just said "you are in Vegas... Just go!" And went to sleep. Next thing I know I'm sitting here at a 1/2NL table. Let's see what I can do here

Great 3rd hand picked up AA called someone's all in for $120 and he turned nut flush with A3... Oh well!

Lost $800 pot flopped nut flush with AQcc on my announced last hand and got called my KK who turned a set and riveted a full house.... Yep I run good this trip

Exactly. I can't believe you still have them. They should have been expunged from your wallet before you entered a casino.

It seems you just dont have enough time at the poker table, its best to just stay away from it until you can sit for 2-3 hours plus. Poker is a game of patience, without that youll lose some money. Thats just my 2 cents but GL

We didn't bring any of the 50s I left them at home. Decided to get a 50 at bellagio since we were running so bad but that didn't help! Today is a new day thought and we are ready to take on Vegas again!

Plan is to head to BurGR now for lunch and then play at planet Hollywood and then head to Paris to get our Penn&Teller tickets. After that we will play a little at Paris and then go eat a bubba gump for dinner. We will fit in CSI experience at MGM sometime today. At night we are going to take the free shuttle from Paris to Rio to watch the show.

That's the tentative schedule for now but we will add things here and there. As usual will post things we are doing and let the run good begin!!

Went to BurGR today for lunch and it was pretty decent...burger was the right size and sides were more than enough.



Headed to Paris for Penn&teller tickets and played a bit there... No luck as usual! Took the free shuttle from Bally's to Rio and I must say this casino/hotel/resort is so bad! It feels so dark and depressing! Dropped a little here as well... When are we going to have a winning session???

Didn't feel like buffet so we tried the Chinese food which turned out pretty decent.



Now waiting for the P&T show that starts in about 1.5 hrs.... No plans tonight yet but we will find something to do!

P.S. can anyone tell me why there are so many Asians in Rio? There's literally like 80% of them here. Just curious thanks

Is Burgr better than Licks/Harveys?

Rio's a ghost town outside of the WSOP, so when everyone else leaves town who stays?

Haven't had licks before but its def better than Harveys. The sides at BurGR was way better than expected. Burgers were good but not memorable if you know what I mean

It's a great time at the poker tables at the big strip properties. Tons of wealthy Asian tourists playing like, well, like Asians.

Last night the P&T show was great! They were funny and their tricks were awesome! We had this lady behind us who was so obnoxious and kept making rude comments and weird sound like a 5 yr old..... And she was doing it on purpose as well after we told her to simmer down twice. There was also this Asian girl who was on her phone for the last 30 min of the show which was super distracting....I didn't wanna say anything to her but that bothered my fiance so much (We are not racists we are Asians too).

Didn't play poker last night cause we have an early day today for the premium north outlet. Will have earl of sandwich for brunch and then take a cab to the outlets. Most likely spending most of the day there. At night we want to try bubba gump.

We have 2 shows lined up tonight. Watching the illusionist at tropicana at 7 and then going to Bally's right after to catch the comedy club at 10pm. I will most likely head to the poker room at MGM tonight.

Yeah, there seem to be junket operators that the hotels make deals with to fill hotels that would otherwise be empty, with people for which Christmas doesn't have much meaning.

We also found out that Chinatown is really close to Rio maybe thats why there's deals within the Asian community or countries

Pleaseeeee tell me you are using your players card at all these casinos and at least racking up some points for future offers due to the run bad. Get SOMETHING for those burned bucks, right?

Yeah we are but we have been playing mostly table games. Going back to MGM now after a full day of shopping... Watching the illusions at tropicana then catching another show at Bally's at the LA comedy club to wind down the night. Most likely playing some poker tonight as well.
