My advice to LVL - relish the excitement before the trip. It's a unique mindset. The desire to apply all the poker concepts you've learned since the last trip while seeking redemption is a strong feeling.

This is so true. I'm coming out on 6/1 and have been deep into that mindset for a few days now. Think I've pretty much got my schedule figured out and will probably be joining you for the Deepstack on 6/2 and doing some 1/3 grinding up at the rio as well. If you see a nondescript six foot white guy with a blue North Face jacket, come over and say hi!

Thanks for all the kind wishes everyone. Got it all back and then some at PH, thanks to My Man Earl. Definitely would have stayed in that game if I wasn't in charge of picking up 2 other members of our trip from McCarran.

Desert Club by Holiday Inn Vacations is super nice. Full kitchen, posh room, balcony, pool just outside. Pics forthcoming.

Whereabouts is that? Pavillion? Hallway next to Buzio's? Poker kitchen (lol)? The worst ones are way up by the Rio poker room. Not because the area sucks per se, but it's so far away from everything else. If they move you to another table you could miss 3 hands by the time you find your new table.

P.S. Don't forget to protect your hand in seat 10 so you don't end up on tv with a dealer-mucked hand.

Green Pavilion. Haha, one of my buddies drew Buzio's. I always thought that would be the most awkward place to play a big event.

I like the 10/9 spot in cash games, because I like putting the white chip directly in the dealer tip tray. It's the little things in life, man.

I was talked into playing the TI $65 tourney tonight, which was a joke. At one point, the levels jumped from 500/1000 to 1000/2000 to 2000/4000. Had 21k during 1k/2k and tried to squeeze 3 limpers from the SB by shoving KTo. The plan worked great until the big blind woke up with AA.

Heh, there's a certain charm to the late night donkaments, even though the structure is often terrible. Good cheap entertainment and often a fun atmosphere if you have time to kill and nothing better to do.

I enjoy the end seats as well. More efficient for passing chips and cards, plus it's harder for everybody to see you

4-bet jammed QQ preflop and got called by AK. I had 24ish and he had 17k. Turn was an evil king of clubs. I got blinded down to 6200 after that and jammed 77 and got called by 99, which held up. Could have cruised into Day2 with 43k if I won that flip. Onto other Vegas things now.

Gave up tons of +EV in the best game by far I've been in this trip (+340) to go to the KISS mini golf course with my friends. Lots of fun so far, and I have $20 on it with my buddy. Crushing him thus far. For some reason imgur app is crapping out on me here. Posting pics later.

I just joined the table my brother was at. I had him ask the dealer if I could join, the dealer eagerly accepted, and he told me to keep hushed about it. I said "keep quiet about what?" and tossed him a redbird.

It rejected my credit card payment for whatever reason. I was going to save this story for my trip wrap-up, but I might as well tell it now since I'm in a nit-fest at Venetian.

After it rejected my CC payment, I decided to play a couple drunk freerolls. I cashed for $0.45 in one of them. I ran it up to a whopping 81 cents in a 5NL game, but then ran my trip queens into a turned flush. I was going to win that hand and do some serious shot-taking after that, but I couldn't boat the river.

The cash games here have been too good for me to play online, and I really don't want to finish my tourney package.
