Best way to book a vegas trip

I'm going to Vegas March 14th-19th. I was wondering what websites have the best prices when booking a flight-hotel combo, as I've seen some pretty drastic price differences from site to site. Or do people prefer to book the hotel and flight separately ? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Also should I be rushing to book it ASAP or do the prices stay relatively the same between now and March?

Do you plan on gambling any?

If the answer is yes, book the hotel room directly through the hotel. If you book it through a third party they will have no way to comp you the room if you qualify.

If the answer is no, your best deal is likely through a third party travel site where you can combine the hotel/flight. That is not always true though. You may find a special on the hotel's website that is better so make sure to price them separate as well.

You have several options, the transaction you are looking for. Bet a lot, get gifts, booking or check the hotel website transactions. There is no any reason to be full price until you shop around a little Las Vegas air hotel discount.

Southwest Vacations has the best prices I've seen lately if you aren't willing to commit to playing at one location. If you're willing to play at one place a significant amount of time, a gambler's rate plus air fare will beat any non-gambling combo deal.

how do you get a gamblers rate ? Most likely will be playing 1-2nl, betting on basketball games and a little blackjack. I wouldnt mind doing all my gambling at one spot if I was getting a good deal

I like Priceline for getting a good room deal. These sites give bidding guidance -

If you are willing to commit to 5 or 6 hours of poker play at once place, you can get a poker rate. Aria is 5 hours. Venetian is 6. I think you can get rooms for around $90-$100 / night. Do a little searching and you'll find info on it.

Not sure if you'd be able to seeing as you're playing $1/$2, but almost any hotel will give you a comped stay for a good amount of time if you call ahead and wire ~$15-$20k. You don't even have to hit the pits with any of it, but you can still lock up a free stay and more (food, etc.).

Because people are dumb. And think they know things about Vegas from what their friends have said happened which in fact has never happened.
