So I realized that I still have my $100 CET Diamond Celebration Dinner certificate left over from this year and I wanted to find out what people used it on to get as close to $100 as possible. I'll be going with someone else so looking to hit $100 for 2 people.

I don't want to go to Ramsey's steakhouse because it will be way over $100 for 2 people and on the other side of the coin, I don't want to go to Bacchanal because we will probably go for lunch and that will leave $20+ unused from the voucher.

I could get dozens of sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich and just stock up for a week but I don't think those are as good reheated.

Any tips/ideas?

Buy the dozens of Earl sandwiches and give them to the MGM dealers you're gonna start stiffing.

I even think I had 10 bucks to spare that I used for tip+ a $20 cash.

It was the best 20 buck meal Ive ever had. (And no, I didn't eat it all you ****s)

That probably doesn't help you much of you're dining with multiple people, but if it's just you and the lady it can be a outstanding night.

Just eat what you want to eat and spend any left over money on cookies/desert or something you can take home.

And Gordan Ramsey's is a bit overrated in recent years, at least in the Vegas location.

That's not gonna happen in Vegas..

$100 for two might work out at Gordan Ramsey for lunch, if at least one person doesn't order steak.

It really depends on if you want to use it to cover all or part of your bill, and what your pain tolerance is for an overage...lots of steak houses at the Caesars properties in town-for example, I think you could do and appetizer 2 steaks, desserts and a 2 decent but inexpensive glasses of wine at Ruth's Chris at Harrahs for 140-160 or so before tip- Not the best steakhouse in the area-but an excellent meal none the less-and an excellent meal for $70 to 100 or so tip included (of course the more you drink this bill will climb)

Of course there are several other mid market options -Giadia at Cromwell comes to mind also

We wrestle with this one, for 2 people you either cannot spend enough on a lighter meal like lunch and end up spending too much for dinner.

Mesa Grill (and GR Steak even though you said no) tend to be on the upper side of quality and the lower side of price
Was considering Mr Chow this year but reviews looking pretty meh. Koi at PH is decent if you like sushi but do not want to pay Nobu pricing (not that they are even on the same level but was pleased with service and ambiance at Koi)

You can always go nuts and stock up with Starbucks if you drink coffee, they are on the list.

I used mine at BLT this last time. I went way over but I was slamming kettle one martinis like nick cage

How was BLT? I just want a traditional steak, not a "fine dining" one.

I don't understand Gordon Ramsey. England is universally recognized as having the worst food in the first world, and now this Brit drops a thousand F-bombs on tv and opens 20 different kinds of restaurants with an English flair and everyone goes nuts?

I thought GR Steak was one of the better casino mid steakhouses and worth the tasting menu price. That being said, the other LV tastings I have done are in another realm like Twist and Picasso so strictly talking value/quality for price.

His pub at CP is ok/slightly above ave for the traditional Brit fare which I tend to never enjoy.

BRGR at PH was good only because we could skip the line but I would never wait.

The hubby's man crush on him is the only reason I would consider these options in Vegas and comps need to be spent somewhere.

I agree that Koi is a nice place with good service and ambiance, but other than that it's a very average sushi place.

I've been to Nobu in LV only once and afterwards I felt like somebody robbed me. There's way better options in Vegas for significantly less money.

I don't particularly agree with the statement, but he's right in saying that England is recognized as the country with the worst food in the world. Especially considering breakfast.

20 years ago I might agree. They have come a long way though. It at least paints with too big a brush.

Someone on another forum used theirs at the noodle place next to Bacchanal. They had some live spot prawn sashimi and other good sounding dishes.

Used mine with gf @ Mesa grill. I recommend it.

Searsucker wouldn't be bad no?

Edit: I agree re: nobu. Tons of japanese small plate places in vegas that are much better value wise.

What about the Guy Fieri place(s)? I've seen him on tv but have no idea what his food is like.

I heard the place at LINQ just bought his name and he has no input or decision making power for that restaurant. No idea about the newer Rio restaurant but I assume it is the same agreement.

Ramsey seems to have some input or a team that runs his places but Guy Fieri seems to just be charging to put his name on the marquee...like Trump on some of "his" buildings.

I did the Fieri place at Rio, was nothing special. Reminded me of eating at Hard Rock cafe

Unless the list has changed since last month, Koi does not accept the Diamond $100 voucher.

Mesa Grill is a good choice. I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality, and they have an outstanding brunch menu with reasonable prices. Two people can eat and drink very well at brunch for a hundo.

Brian Malarky restaurants (Searsucker, etc.) are very over-rated IMO. I've eaten at a few of them in San Diego and portions are very small across the board..

i used mine at mesa as well, i took my mom there. we both got a salad + entree and it didn't even come up to $100, i had to get a $20 margarita to put it over the top.

question, i locked up diamond for 2017 last month, will i get the celebration dinner this month or must i wait until 2017?

also, has anyone used the "free" trip to atlantis? i read the fine print and the free trip looks like it will cost about $200/day minimum, even if i make it to 40k Tier points by the end of the year

Pretty sure you get it both this year and next year.

What is it you have to pay for, besides the flight? I didn't look that closely because I don't want to buy a flight.
