I vote Osaka. It's on Sahara, a few blocks west of the strip.
Go late for a half price menu from 10p-2a. I love the tatami tables. It's just awesome!

Re: best sushi in vegas, u tell me!
Sen of Japan on durango and desert inn is the best not on the strip for sure. former nobu chef opened it. On the strip there are lots of good places, sushi roku at caesars is always a good choice.
many others that are good but not great. lots of people love naked fish but when ive been there it sucked, barely better than a grade f meat all you can eat place. definetly go to Sen if you have a car. they have a late night happy hour and other deals right now.

Re: best sushi in vegas, u tell me!
Sen will cost $100-150 a person if you drink beer and sake and have appetizers
Roku is more depending on what you order

I second this, Osaka's my favorite sushi restaurant here. Cheap as hell, awesome staff, good sushi, and open late.
Also, Sushi-mon. It's a dive, but awesome.
However, neither of these sound like their up OP's alley, he sounds like he wants something a littler more upscale. I'm afraid I don't have any solid recommendations there.

Re: best sushi in vegas, u tell me!
I thought I heard someone calling for me!
Now, OP, are you looking for casino based only, all you can eat type of places, ala carte places, or Japanese grille type places that serve much more than just sushi?
I've been to roughly 12-15 different places encompassing all of the above and have my favorites for each. Let me know what you're into. You can spend 20 bucks a head and all the way up to 200/head.

Re: best sushi in vegas, u tell me!
i don't think there's really a true best sushi place in vegas. i've had about 10 places that are all good. i'd go to nobu if you want to stay on the strip. naked fish is my preference but it's very far from the strip.
