Drinking that much and running around in 110 degree weather will kill you. You need to start making every other drink water, that way you'll only ruin your liver, but won't die from dehydration.

FWIW: public intoxication is not against the law in Nevada. However if METRO thinks you are so drunk you can't take care of yourself, they will either hold you for 48 hours in jail to sober you up, or put you in an alcohol treatment center for 48 hours.

Yesterday ended up being a good day. I cashed out a winner and took the bus back to Fremont street. Instead of hanging out outside I took an ambien so I could sleep. So back to the original question how are the deep stacks at the rio? Today my plan is to take Xanax and Xanax only no drinking. Xanax gives you the best of both worlds anyway. I think my best option moving forward is to only take benzos. I just need to find a good shrink that will prescribe me benzos. So where are the best Tournys that aren't as expensive as the rio. Maybe I should try the deep stacks at the V. I would like to know where the good tourneys are.

For an alcoholic, weed > alcohol in terms of self-control and discipline.

And playing stoned is much more conducive to playing optimally.

Most doctors wont take this route but i also have adhd & i take Vyvanse daily. I quit taking all my antidepressants & mood stabilizers or anti-psychotics. I am going through a lifestyle change in what & how i eat. Exercise & balance in life. All have been very helpful.

I am currently playing 1/3 nl at the Bellagio. This is not a suicide attempt this time. I guess a little background is in order. I grew up in a very volatile home. My mom was bipolar and my dad was an alcoholic. Onetime I forgot to put the cordless phone on the charger and my mom flew into a rage and beat me with the phone. I guess genetically I have always been screwed. I don't use this as an excuse by any means. I use benzos and alcohol simply to forget how much my life sucks. Money truly does not buy happiness because I have been miserable my entire adult life despite all the money my parents had and that I have made. I know it is Freudian but I was never loved as a child. My dad was absorbed in his work and I was terrified of my mom. I think this is why every relationship I have ever had has failed. I simply feel that I am an unlovable person and I purposely sabotage any relationship where things get too serious. This trip is to make me feel alive again:

Coming to Vegas has made me feel alive again. I have been a boring Accountant and I just want to feel alive. The life of an accountant at least for me has been boring and lonely. thus far today I have only taken one Xanax bar (2mg). I am trying really hard to not have any cocktails. The session at the Bellagio is going no where I am down about $12. I am thinking rounders and want to goto mirage just to play it old school. I write these posts in between hands to help keep me from taking more totem poles or guzzling more cocktails. I think at this point I am just rambling. This wasn't meant to be a trip report but I guess it is turning I to that; for that I apologize. I hope I can make some money today. I am still down around $600 since I came into town.

Also just to be clear I have no intention of ending my life this trip is to make me feel alive. What I really need is my own room that allows pets because I need a cat. Does anyone know of a good room for rent that allows cats?

If money isn't an issue, why don't you just get a proper place of your own? Then you can have all the cats you want, and it will be much less expensive.

Also, money may not buy happiness, but it should allow you to do whatever you want. I know that if I had the ability to do whatever I wished, I would be happy.

if you ever think your life sucks, watch the movie unbroken. historically accurate true story about a ww2 soldier who survived being lost at sea and a pow camp, or watch a sally struthers commercial where kids have flys all over em and crap. be thankful for everything you have and dont ever think about suicide. life is worth living.

You know everyone here is right. I have a lot to be grateful for. I was very lucky how I timed the market. I am lucky I don't have to worry where my next meal is coming from despite being fired. I am proud of myself that I didn't have a drink yesterday. I probably took too much Xanax but it's better than drinking at least in my mind. I am pretty much in a manic state right now. I haven't slept at all I just got back to my room and I don't feel like I need to sleep at all. As far as poker goes I won a whole $14. I guess it's better than donking off 1k in one day.

I literally just folded most of the day/night. I think when this trip is concluded I need to go back to rehab but I need to find one that deals with people with issues like bipolar. I see there is a poster here with the name of Arthurbach. That is who I feel like I am. Living my life one day at a time. I at least got some sleep in but am still very buzzed from the Xanax I took mixed with Ambien. I am going to go to the rio to play in the 3pm $235 deep stack. I have no idea how the competition is but what the heck. I will probably have to get a cab since it is already just after 1pm. I am only taking $600 cash and my ID. If I lose all that I am done for the day but I have a feeling the deep stack will take up most of my time.
If I bust out I will play cash games at the rio. I think I am going to bring just a couple Xanax bars with me and consume a couple of cocktails. The problem is I have a very high tolerance to both benzos and alcohol so I have to take a lot just to get a buzz. I already have some vodka in my room so I am sipping that mixed with some water to stay hydrated. I will not take this vodka with me to the strip I will save it for when I get home. The biggest downside to today is I will have to pay rapey cab drivers. I think a trip to rehab is inevitable but it can't be one that talks a lot about jesus or uses 12 step programs. That **** never has and never will work for me. I think I should just stick to cocktails because obtaining Xanax and other benzos illegally is quite pricey. Anyone playing at the rio today?
