"Best" mid-grade hotel pool on strip?
Taking the gf and another couple down to Vegas for the WSOP in mid-June. We're not baller by any stretch of the imagination, so we'll be looking at the mid-tier properties (i.e. Harrah's, Mirage, MC, TI, Paris, etc.).
The girls will want to stay by the pool all day (and we want them to so we can go gambooooool), so which mid-tier has the best pool? "Best" is defined as having chairs available, not being over-run with kids, and overall look/theme. We won't be able to spring for a cabana or anything like that.
I've heard the Flamingo has a nice pool, thoughts on Flamingo pool/hotel? (never stayed there)
EDIT: Crap, I thought I was still in LVL. Mods, please move.

Mirage. Avoid TI at all costs.

I'd say MGM. Pool area is huge, offers both a big party pool and lots of smaller, relaxed pools.

I like Paris overall of those, but its pool is meh. I agree with Mirage on the pool front. Lots of plants. Sprays keeping mist in the air, etc. Don't know about kid quotient.

Mirage, easy choice. It's the only place among the mid-tier that has any class, and they have a great pool.

I've stayed at the Rio a few times and used their pool. I was NEVER asked to show that I was staying in the hotel either. So, you could stay somewhere else and bring them to the Rio with you. That way they'd be close by in case your gambling day ends early or something.

This might be a really nice feature when it is 112 degrees out.

Great stuff guys, thank you. Looks like it'll be between the Mirage and MGM.

Done all pools mentioned in this thread. MGM in every way.
Mirage is ok but it is tough to get pool side unless you line up at the crack of dawn.
They line you up like sardines there. Way too crowded. Hotel crowd has outgrown a pool built many years ago.
The pool is really nice at the Mirage but the MGM pools are nice too without the crowding.

Re: "Best" mid-grade hotel pool on strip?
Flamingo pool is nice, and their Go Rooms are pretty nice and cheap, as are their suites. I believe I paid around $70/nt for the Neopolitan Suite there last year, which was far far nicer than my standard MGM Grand room I moved to later in the week, and at the exact same cost. Flamingo also has a far better location than the Grand - its across the street from the Bellagio, and easy access to City Center, and the Venetian. MGM Grand is obviously a nicer property, but I would stay at an upgraded Flamingo Room over the Grand if I had to do it all over again.
