Main issue to consider is that the sports book and poker room are located o Wynn side. Not a long walk, but it's nice to have easy access if you are a degen sports better.

Re: Best Luxury Hotel in Vegas?

No one has mentioned the Palazzo suites with the terraces on the third floor - super rooms, usually used for hospitality suites, but, if no convention, they can be had for a song over the normal room rate. They all have fireplaces, and some have hot tubs - never got one of those. But, huge room, even by Palazzo standards, where the standard room is very large.

Cosmo, if you don't want to spring for the wrap-around suite - a premium view room (overlooking the Belaggio Fountains) are great rooms also - but, if you have the bucks the wrap-arounds are great. In the one bedroom suites, the "soaking tub" is just plain stupid and you have to walk through the shower to get to it - dumb. Cosmo is very easy walking, as noted by others, to many great poker rooms.

I like the dining options at Palazzo better than either Cosmo or Aria, and all three better than Belaggio.

Re: Best Luxury Hotel in Vegas?

Okay, really liking the idea of the wraparound terrace suite at the Cosmo. Think it would be cool to have a terrace room in Vegas. Glad I started this thread as I probably wouldn't have found these. Two questions:

Are they all on the same corner with the view of Bellagio fountains?
Whats the approximate walking times to Bellagio and Aria poker rooms?

I don't know about the view since I've never stayed at Cosmo, but the walk from the casino in Cosmo to Aria, Bellagio and PHo is pretty easy. 8-12 minutes? Not bad and not complicated.

not all of them look over the fountains. some face the south. but i think it would be a simple request.

the walk to aria is a bit annoying, but only b/c of the way the city center is situated. if you're not staying at aria or using the valet, the aria poker room is in a horrible location. 10 min is about right. bellagio might be a bit quicker.

Bellagio is a quicker walk because trying to get to Aria is a b*tch from Cosmo. The wraparound rooms are nice. i stayed there once and would prob love to stay there again. Just ask for higher floors with the fountain view.

You guys might be doing it wrong. Leave Cosmo through the valet/portico, hang a right, and there will be a staircase a little ways ahead of you. That staircase dumps you out right by Vdara. You don't have to go out the front and through Crystals.

Re: Best Luxury Hotel in Vegas?

Aria is my favorite poker room but despite that the rooms at Aria are unimpressive. Cosmopolitan would be my best choice because A) Nice rooms B) Good location near Aria/Bellagio as already noted and C) One of the better venues for entertainment and nightlife

The sky suites at aria are stunning. Their poker room is also my favorite in Vegas. The regular rooms are decent but get a sky suite and I'm sure you'll be impressed.
