Bellagio valet fees raised up to 25 dollars and less than 24 hours later there's a fire. Coincidence?

I was a little tilted this morning because I'm staying there next week and all I heard on the radio on the way to work this morning was how the "roof of the hotel" was on fire and there were flames shooting out of the "hotel roof."

Far be it from me to nitpick the national media but to me there's a decent distinction between the hotel roof - which to me implies rooms where people are sleeping - and the roof of the retail area.

Which means they now have to raise it to $30 to pay for the repairs.

I was turning right out of the north valet when they shut that whole area down last night. Sat at the Blvd + Flamingo intersection for half an hour or so watching them actually fight the fire before they made everyone inbetween the 15-Flamingo exit and the intersection I was at do a U-turn and **** off. 10/10 would fire watch again.

I wouldn't have been surprised they kept playing either, except that apparently lots panicked and left when they heard the noise from the Rolex robbery a few weeks ago. The smell of fire would be scarier to me than that.

They said there was never any alarm. If there had been, I'm sure the dealers would have halted games.
