Hi all,

Got another trip to Vegas booked in September and been a few times before. We've got a list of the favourite rooms we like to play in so not really bothered about trying to guess where the softer tables are etc but what's the score over there with Bad Beat Jackpots and other bonuses? Over the years I've been going they've changed a lot (for the worse) so wonder what the score is now?

Does anyone prefer to play in rooms with these bonuses or are they that infrequent it's not a factor? I remember getting paid out in O'Sheas on the strip once many moons ago but that's it from what I can remember. I do remember most of the multi casino bad beats have stopped now though.

PH (where we are staying and top of the list) used to do the dip bag for quads.

What's the score nowadays on the strip?

I prefer the ones without a bad beat or promos because it's so unlikely hitting a bad beat and you're paying for it. The promos I hate as well but not as much because you are actually reasonably likely to hit a high hand if you play often enough.

Played in Caesars, Wynn, Aria and Bellagio and they don't have a promo or bad beat. PH has a promo (dunnno about bad beat) although they don't have the Gordon Ramsay burger promo anymore cause of the WSOP . The Golden Nugget has a promo and bad beat. Those are all the rooms I really care about.

Most Strip rooms have a high hand bonus but no bad beat. Closest one I know of is at the Orleans. It hits fairly often because the room is so busy. When the jackpot gets into the 60 grand area, they put it on Bravo and the room gets packed, presumably with some of the players being not very skilled.
