I've been here since May, and the number of social misfits/emotional toddlers infesting the tournament areas are astounding. I thought working in IT would have prepared me, but this is on a whole other level.

Years ago, me and a friend card counted at blackjack at CET properties and were eventually read the tresspass card. About a month afterward I emailed CET and asked to have my e-mail directed to a poker supervisor. In e-mail I stated that I was asked not to play blackjack or even enter CET properties. I asked if it would be okay if I played in poker events like the WSOP. I was told it would be fine, but to only walk to and from the poker area. I can't remember who was in charge at the time I want to say their last name was Green but I don't remember it was years ago. For the first year or two I kept a printed copy of the email in my car and put it in my pocket whenever entering a CET property.

Getting barred from CET for card counting blackjack isn't necessarily a life time ban from CET. Being an ass-hat destroying stuff in a gift shop is a totally different story.

i know one guy who got his CET ban overturned, he was smoking weed at the cromwell pool. took him a couple of years to get that fixed.

let me just make sure i have the story straight.

you made it sound like you were innocently shopping for some cheeze-its and your elbow brushed a couple of stupid kids toys on the ground.

"whoops" was what you uttered as you turned around to pick them up. but as you were bending over to retrieve them, paul blart swooped in and slapped on some cuffs.

OR

you were drunk and you walked into the bally's gift shop and started knocking **** over right in front of a security guard. and the security guard was like, "wow, this dude is so drunk and oblivious that he's wrecking **** right in front of me. better nip this in the bud."
Paul Blart hangs out that the Wynn, at least in one of the worst movies ever made , in which the Wynn inexplicably agreed to be featured.

I think this is actually the best telling of a story in a while. I'm waiting for an M Night Twist.

I've only been going to Vegas several times a year since ~1980, so here goes.

1. Don't EVER call for security.
2. Stuff starts going sideways, leave. There are only about 10 million other places to buy liquor, drink, gamble, shop, bang hookers, etc.
3. Be a 'ghost'. Quiet, polite, avoid eye contact and no one will even know you are there. Most people are lazy and don't want to take action but bored security guard roid ragers are extremely dangerous.
4. If a pit boss or security takes an interest in you or your activities, leave. See #2
5. There is more to this story. TBC got 86'd for jerking it at the table, maybe the same thing happened here. Way to big of a reaction for a minor dust up.

Solid advice but LMAO at statement that OP maybe was jerking it at the table as well; LOL. No offense OP; just thought the post was funny because of the solid advice that finished with a Pee-Wee Herman accusation.

There really isn't more to the story. It seems like an overreaction to me too. I acted like a stupid jerk in the moment. But I'm reasonable sure nothing would have happened if there hadn't already been several security guards in the store at the time I knocked over the toys (except being asked to pick them up).

I just found out that my Total Rewards card got deactivated. Very strange since I was just at Harrah's Cherokee redeeming a bunch of comps last weekend, and was still able to book future comp rooms earlier this week. FML

Their accounting and security system isn't that good. You should be fine. Good luck!

As an alternative to personally writing a letter as others have mentioned; perhaps hire a lawyer and see what he/she suggests. I would guess their strategy, even if it is writing a letter, would still get you more traction and increase your chances of getting the ban lifted.

Smart of you to redeem your comps before they updated their database. Not unusual for companies to do this on a once a week or even a once a month basis. I do suggest not trying to check in for those future rooms.

I dunno. If the story is "Annoyed guy knocked over a few toys," it's an overreaction. If it's "Guy becomes increasingly demanding and upset when told he couldn't purchase alcohol, ultimately becoming violent despite security guards being present," the reaction makes more sense. Bally's take is probably closer to the second one.

I didn't expect them to suspend my account. Security didn't say anything about this affecting my ability to play outside of Vegas, so I'm pretty pissed off about this.

I had about $350 in reward credits when the incident happened, but it appears Bally's automatically applied almost all of them to my hotel bill after I was evicted. There were only like $15 in RCs in the account when it was suspended.

The comps I was redeeming at Cherokee were about $600 in freeplay coupons. The reason I realized my account was suspended was that on that morning I got another $330 in freeplay in the mail for specific days next month, and went online to change my next reservation to include those days.

But I doubt I will try go back unless my account is restored...in fact I just booked a trip to Borgata instead.

Haha I saw that and knew this thread would be bumped!

It's not me...I've never played the Main Event and have been back home on the East coast for a month now.

That seems like the worst possible thing a player could do if they were trying to sneak through.

I just got informed that, after 2.5 years, my trespass has been rescinded and I am once again welcome at Caesars properties!

Print out a copy that recites the ban being lifted and carry it with you.

Yeah, the letter says to do this.
I had actually already gotten a partial rescind earlier this year to play in the WSOP only. I brought that letter to the Rio over summer, though I never had to show it. My players’ account is still deactivated; it sounds like I have to get that restored in person.

How many letters did it take? Who did you address them to? Or how was your ban lifted?
