Dudes, Don't put your fingers near any part of your face while playing. Those dirty, filth,y defecation filled chips are what is causing your illness. Use the disinfectant wipes and wash your hands every time your in the restroom... I'm sure this will help...
Heh we know, we know...
Anyway last night I dropped ragequit off at Excalibur. Waited about an hour before Dizzle texted me he landed at McCarran. Picking him up was easy enough. Needed to get him to Bally's but a) didn't feel like parking at that structure and b) didn't feel like parking at Bellagio so I parked at cosmo instead. We both enjoy the property so we didn't mind walking through it. Lots of good people watching also as it was the start of EDC weekend.
Sat down at the new sports book and watched the first half of game 6 of the NBA finals. Of course we weren't very happy about it but I distracted myself with .25 DDB VP lol. Dizzle got yelled at by a soccer mom looking Cavs fan so that was funny at least.
During halftime we walked across LVB to check Dizzle into Bally's. Used the diamond registration desk and added me to the reservation so they could take the resort fees off. Did it at the beginning of the stay this time so we got him fully comped. Which surprised me considering it's EDC weekend.
We finished watching the warriors lose and then made our way to the Bellagio poker room. The lists were short on a Thursday night so we both got onto 2-5NL rather quickly. In 2h of play it was mostly quiet for me except for one late twenties/early thirties Caucasian male who spewed off three buy ins coming from a broken game. Was able to get the last buy in from him before he had enough and left lol. Played a couple of orbits before it was time to pick up ragequit at Excalibur.
Walking into Excalibur is always a trip lol. Feels so much like my days as a youth going to Reno with the family. We waited around for ragequit to lock up and wandered around the 2nd floor with the shops and restaurants. Y'all know they got a Popeyes AND hot dog on a stick there? Also at some point in the night there's a bar with a live DJ right around the corner to catch the overflow of Bachelorette parties leaving the Thunder From Down Under show lol so she's gotta deal with the loud pop/hip hop music.
With my stomach still not 100% I wanted to take ragequit and Dizzle somewhere to eat where I wouldn't regret not being able to taste everything. I know how selfish of me. It was closing in on 1am so that limited our choices anyway. Dizzle and ragequit both enjoy KBBQ so I off I drove to Hobak up Spring Mountain. They've got quite an awesome avg review on Yelp.
So we walked in. Specifically Dizzle first and they tell us they had a last call for the kitchen at 1am. No big deal. There are a couple of options still nearby. Q Bistro is next on the list. They have korean wings and Korean pizzas apparently which intrigued us. Dizzle is again the first to walk in and they tell us again that the kitchen is closed (despite having a 230am closing lol). At this point Dizzle is all "don't let the black guy walk in first" but with Chada up next I made him walk in first anyway.
The hostess seated us as I expected but was still pretty funny seeing the look on Dizzle's face as he was ready to get the same treatment. We ordered a lot of the same stuff I've already tried so no pics. Good news is that they both enjoyed the duck panang, kai yang, and ribeye kra prow. Dizzle said he really only had an hour of energy left in him and I didn't feel like hanging out and making it a late night so I just dropped him off at Bellagio north valet. Lucky for me he understood me not wanting to cross LVB to get him at the Bally's doorstep. Probably saved him some time anyway.
Got home knocked right the f out.
