You are looking at Chip Counts, which is usually inaccurate .

Look in Results. It has him in 85th.

Plus, I would consider what the player says himself to be much more accurate than what a website says.

lol sorry didn't mean to derail your thread Ivin. I included "odd" in my question because I didn't necessarily mean 'bad' in a definitive sense just in a bubble so to speak. Just def atypical so was wondering if there was something like the other blind or yourself were re-popping liberally or jamming often pre...I personally would think AA on button maximizes value in most situations there putting in the threebet bc original open is rarely going to fold to button raise and you can keep repping aggro position line post +blinds are rarely going to squeeze and its quite possible they both flat, you go to flop 4 handed and everyone checks to you so you can either value own yourself on AA or give free cards with the best hand...it's poker everything is situational, just my personal ramblings.

*in retrospect if the original opener has been very active/wide and either or both of the SB and BB are short you may illicit a squeeze jam with the button flat, other than that I don't see a lot of smaller threebet sizing potentially coming out of the blinds here (well if they have KK...)

No worries.

Simply put flatting AA otb isn't bad because of stack sizes and original raiser strength. You figured it out at the end of your post there heh.

Spent all day playing Overwatch and just hanging out while ragequit laid down all afternoon and evening. I ate a delicious microwavable black bean and cheese burrito from trader joes. No food poisoning for me so it wasn't that! Salad with some tuna for dinner and more Overwatch. Basically kept it really chill because I would have the next three days off from bracelet events anyway and ragequit working as well. Gives me time for cash/smaller tourneys.

Got a call from the parentals last evening. I was surprised when they asked about ragequit instead of me. Apparently my dad follows this thread haha. Hi mom and dad! Love yall.

ragequit is fine now and I dropped her off at circus circus for her third day of training. Passes by the Riviera and it is half there with a cloud of dust. Apparently they imploded part of it last night.

Valeted at PH because I'm firing the 400/250k gtd. Walked over to Cosmo to check out Eggslut. Definitely gonna eat there at least once because I love breakfast sandwiches but at the time just wasn't feeling very hungry.

Had it this morning and it was solid.
Was surprised to find the egg was over-easy as opposed to the usual quick breakfast scrambled.

Been out of commission since this morning. Now my entire body is achey and was kinda feverish with an upset stomach. Must be some sort of mild flu. No puking or anything like that though.

Gotta get better by tomorrow cuz Dizzle is in town.

I kind of had something like that last weekend - kept thinking it would get worse, but it didn't in my case. There was some improvement in about 24 hours but it was 2 days before I felt like some semblance of myself and nearly three before I was eating out of anything other than a sense of duty. But long story short - there's hope you'll be back in good enough shape to hit the tables and do other things today. Fingers crossed.

Vegas flu? There's definitely a day every trip I make where I feel awful for no obvious reason. Whatever it is, get well quick mate.

Poker's version of the old 'tour cough' (GDead, Phish, Panic, ???). I got it during the Colossus II two weeks ago. Too many people in close proximity. Better for the herd, though.

Last night got the shivers and finally broke into a sweat. Was achy all over until I slept again.

Feeling much better but I'd say I'm at 80%. I even had a dream last night that I ordered a burrito and after two bites I felt sick to my stomach during the dream lol.

Dudes, Don't put your fingers near any part of your face while playing. Those dirty, filth,y defecation filled chips are what is causing your illness. Use the disinfectant wipes and wash your hands every time your in the restroom... I'm sure this will help...

Heh we know, we know...

Anyway last night I dropped ragequit off at Excalibur. Waited about an hour before Dizzle texted me he landed at McCarran. Picking him up was easy enough. Needed to get him to Bally's but a) didn't feel like parking at that structure and b) didn't feel like parking at Bellagio so I parked at cosmo instead. We both enjoy the property so we didn't mind walking through it. Lots of good people watching also as it was the start of EDC weekend.

Sat down at the new sports book and watched the first half of game 6 of the NBA finals. Of course we weren't very happy about it but I distracted myself with .25 DDB VP lol. Dizzle got yelled at by a soccer mom looking Cavs fan so that was funny at least.

During halftime we walked across LVB to check Dizzle into Bally's. Used the diamond registration desk and added me to the reservation so they could take the resort fees off. Did it at the beginning of the stay this time so we got him fully comped. Which surprised me considering it's EDC weekend.

We finished watching the warriors lose and then made our way to the Bellagio poker room. The lists were short on a Thursday night so we both got onto 2-5NL rather quickly. In 2h of play it was mostly quiet for me except for one late twenties/early thirties Caucasian male who spewed off three buy ins coming from a broken game. Was able to get the last buy in from him before he had enough and left lol. Played a couple of orbits before it was time to pick up ragequit at Excalibur.

Walking into Excalibur is always a trip lol. Feels so much like my days as a youth going to Reno with the family. We waited around for ragequit to lock up and wandered around the 2nd floor with the shops and restaurants. Y'all know they got a Popeyes AND hot dog on a stick there? Also at some point in the night there's a bar with a live DJ right around the corner to catch the overflow of Bachelorette parties leaving the Thunder From Down Under show lol so she's gotta deal with the loud pop/hip hop music.

With my stomach still not 100% I wanted to take ragequit and Dizzle somewhere to eat where I wouldn't regret not being able to taste everything. I know how selfish of me. It was closing in on 1am so that limited our choices anyway. Dizzle and ragequit both enjoy KBBQ so I off I drove to Hobak up Spring Mountain. They've got quite an awesome avg review on Yelp.

So we walked in. Specifically Dizzle first and they tell us they had a last call for the kitchen at 1am. No big deal. There are a couple of options still nearby. Q Bistro is next on the list. They have korean wings and Korean pizzas apparently which intrigued us. Dizzle is again the first to walk in and they tell us again that the kitchen is closed (despite having a 230am closing lol). At this point Dizzle is all "don't let the black guy walk in first" but with Chada up next I made him walk in first anyway.

The hostess seated us as I expected but was still pretty funny seeing the look on Dizzle's face as he was ready to get the same treatment. We ordered a lot of the same stuff I've already tried so no pics. Good news is that they both enjoyed the duck panang, kai yang, and ribeye kra prow. Dizzle said he really only had an hour of energy left in him and I didn't feel like hanging out and making it a late night so I just dropped him off at Bellagio north valet. Lucky for me he understood me not wanting to cross LVB to get him at the Bally's doorstep. Probably saved him some time anyway.

Got home knocked right the f out.

Woke up Friday around noon. Dizzle said it was likely he was gonna be up early like 9ish and go workout because of his habits back at home.

Didn't hear back from him til 2pm because he ended up playing blackjack and finding random people to party with in a hotel room lmao.

We told him we were gonna pick him up from Bellagio north valet so we could do a late lunch. Major traffic on Flamingo but Dizzle got lost somehow so even though we were late we still had to circle around north valet like 4 times before he found us. Zzz

We were crunched for time because ragequit needed to be at Excalibur around 445 to set up for her shift but we were able to fit in Cornish Pasty Co despite it being on the opposite end of town thanks to us being the only customers there.

Interior

Chips with garlic and jalapeños.

My carne adovada. Pretty good. I'd rather have a straight up burrito than a burrito in a pie crust.

Royale w cheese. Now this was good. Burger and cheese and onions in that pie crust with thousand island on the side.

Not pictured: ragequits chicken greek. Chicken and artichoke hearts. Didn't get to try it but sounded too healthy to me for a grown up hot pocket.

Ugh man this exact sht happened to me at the Vegas WSOPC stop...got sick like 1-2 events in and ruined series for me. Wash hands liberally and carry around sanitizer, sickness runs rampant with all these people packed in at tables playing together.

Hey will you be playing the 'Summer Solstice' event in a few days?

Google was kind enough to tell us to take industrial to frank Sinatra to Reno (or something like that) to get into Excalibur the back way. But the new parking gates made it so I had to scan in and scan right out just to drop ragequit off at the resort tower. If y'all can't tell yet I'm pretty annoyed by the parking changes lol.

I then drove over to Aria so that Dizzle and I could play some cash til ragequit got off work. U forgot to call in and also forgot it was a Friday so when we got there the lists were 40 deep for both 1-3 and 2-5 NL. Knowing it would be a wait, Dizzle took off to play some blackjack and i followed so that I could get some iced green teas while he played. In the course of an hour he somehow ran 200 into 1400 running like God while making some mistakes lol. There were also quite a few inexperienced blackjack players on the table. At one point the whole table was trying to tell this one EDC tourist girl not to hit and even the dealer was saying "they're all telling you not to are you sure?" And still she asked to hit. Apparently she was confused on which hand motion to use and thought the players were helping her so she kept waving her hands around lol.

We sat down and played for a few hours before I got a text from ragequit saying she'd be closing up at 11 so I asked if she didn't mind if I met up with he so we could walk over to Aria together. Even though it's only a few properties over I knew that drive back and forth would probably take much longer. It was in the low 80s out so I didn't even bother going through Monte Carlo. Made it to Excalibur in less than 15 minutes.

When I got there she was still closing up so I stood around people watching and wrapping up the last couple of posts. We caught up on the walk back. Apparently the kiosk she was working at was a slow one for the night so the manager just asked her to close up. Dizzle was still playing 2-5NL and wasn't doing so hot so he wanted to go eat. He kept talking about korean bbq the other night and because ragequit got off a little early we decided to try Hobak again.

100% worth it over the all you can eat places and even over Gangnam. This place will actually have the servers cook the food for you, chop it ip and serve it. We got away with 30pp doing one of their beef packages and ordering an extra side of pork ribs (Dizzle couldn't resist.)

After dinner took Dizzle back to Bellagio north valet like the previous night then drove back home to knock out early.

Now playing this 1500 nlhe bracelet event and on first break.
