I'm not fully happy with my poker results since I've been in Vegas. I think I"m doing okay but I know that I should be killing the game. Because of this, I've been surfing 2+2 and came across DGI's 10k pooh-bah post. It looks like I need to put more effort into learning the ABC's of the game. I'm currently at step 17! (brag). These last couple of weeks, I'm going to try to ramp up my game away from the table, and put more hours in at the table also.

Also, I met a pro at the table the other day. We had a random conversation about Begas and life for a few hours and then I learned that he plays for a living. At that point, we started to sweat each other. There is soooo much to be learned when you can bounce hands and ideas off each other and get instant feedback. Live sweats for the win!

I just ate Yanni's for lunch today too, ordered the same exact meal. Damn tasty, and those fries are awesome. They have some sort of weird air/oil fryer thing that makes perfectly crispy fries all uniformly delicious. Great 10$ lunch.

It was a great value meal for sure. Since you're a local, see if they will make lamb fries for you. Just think Carne Asada fries but Greek! I haven't even heard of lamb fies but I'm sure Yannis can muster something delicious up.

Played a short session at the V. They had 4 tables going. Very poor table selection. All tables were full of regs. More than likely should have stuck to the smaller game since it was much easier, and maybe even more profitable.

I have one hand where I got to thinking, is this standard?

Weak Tight old man ($300) limps UTG. Middle aged nit ($450) limps. Asian Reg limps in LP. SB limps. I open to $35 (covers) w/ AcAd. Weak Tight Old Man calls. Nitty middle aged man calls.

6s4d8s ($115)
I bet 85. Weak Tight old man folds. Nitty calls w/ 330 behind.

6s4d8s9c ($285)
I chk. Nitty Shoves. Hero?

Betting bigger on the flop? Bet/Calling the turn? Bet/folding the turn? Open shoving the turn? C/Shove turn? Any Ideas?

What's hero stack size?

N/m. You said covers. If this guy is so nitty, he's probably not in here with less than a set. We are probably boned, but I can't see not stacking off here with rockets. It's probably sigh call and reload for me. Not sure why you checked turn though. I'd definitely bet turn, we still have AA and he called a big opener. I'd bet around 150$ and probably call a shove

Eta: thinking about it a little more, he may have JJ+ here as well and "put you on AK". Rough spot.

I'm rarely, if ever going to not stack off in this spot. We have an SPR ~4. I'm only folding on the worst of boards.

My mind blanked for some reason and I checked. I think the best way to get it in here would be $150/c; or bet/bet/bet all three streets.

Not sure if you had a plan here. When I am diligent about forming a plan for all streets, my mind "blanks" way less often.

I'd probably bet/bet/bet this hand, but I'm too aggro much of the time.

Good luck!

Either he's got JJ+ or your beat hard to say which. Shoving turn is same result. Hard to bet more on flop you want them to come along. Basically you're going busto if he doesn't have a pair. Not sure how you fold here either.

the nine changes very little; 10sJs makes a little sense...smaller over makes a good deal of sense too when you check here your flop bets looks much more like a C-bet on overs...I really think hes overplaying a smaller pp here; common trend with nits as counter-intuitive to their nature as it may seem is once they DO think they have the best hand (lets give him JJ QQ KK here for the purpose of the example), they become terrified in inflated post-flop situations and want to shut it down before you hit something on river as little sense as that makes. Your 'nit' description reinforces this b/c our "nitty" here isnt hitting this board other than pp88 which is awfully narrow so his range really smacks of an over ("1010-KK) here, and yes some old nits dont like to !3 pre w/KK if they have position. I'm calling it off.

*also I really don't mind the check here vs a lot of Vs for the very purpose of rep'ing a C-bet flop shutting down on turn, this particular one though I don't see taking the lead with his draw range and it's a wet board so I would charge.

Random Food pics

Steak and shake ftw! I went during lunch. I walked past the line, to the counter and sat down. I ordered a burger, fries, and that birthday cake shake. For the price, cool. It's inexpensive. I'd prefer to eat here than McDs or Carls.

Greek festival. Over priced food but the overall experience was cool.

Damn! Aloha kitchen! Yous so much better than any L&L! I'd go back here if I was on this side of town often.

More food thoughts

808 Hawaiian mixed plate. It's Worth a try. I've also had their firecracker chicken. It's good.

100% protip- if you ever are in Las Vegas and are on budget, you need to come here! Poke express world. The people behind the counter let me try almost everything. They were so helpful and nice. Another protip- buy 2 orders of poke, walk down to teriyaki madness, and buy a side of rice. Poor man's sushi! Genius!

Went back to Bachi. I wasn't hungry and I wanted a snack. Ordered oxtail fries for myself! I know, I'm a fatty. This is a snack for me. It was delicious. Oxtail, French fries, special sauces and pure goodness. It's reminded me of one of my comfort foods (Carne Asada fries) but in another form.

I went to Drai’s Day Club with my baller friends. The friends that dropped 2 hundos on room service because they were too lazy to go downstairs. 2 women (good looking blond and brunette) and one guy. They didn’t actually see a point of paying and going to the DayClub at Drai’s since they were staying at Aria and there’s a pool there. I told them they we were going because “That Drais. It’s so hot right now. That’ Drais.”

I drive over to Aria and we pre-party for a little bit. Shots and shots of Honey Whiskey, as well as bottles of Sangria. We cab it over to the Cromwell @ 2ish. The line was short and we waited maybe 10-15 mins. We took the elevator upstairs and stored our gear at the ‘coat rack.’ $20 bucks for the initial storage plus $10 per trip? Damn Drais. You’re nickel and diming me. At least we didn’t have to pay for towels (which I guess you usually you have to pay for, WTF?) After you walk past the towel guy, you get to the entrance balcony. It’s a balcony that overlooks the entire pool area. Sweet! I have arrived. I’m so pumped at this point.

My group walks down the stairs and into the arena of greatness. I’m wearing these extremely dinky shorts that get attention 100% of the time. I’ll post pictures of said swimming suit. I’m not buff at all and I have a gut but I rock the **** out of these shorts because I don’t care. So we take a stroll around the place to get a grasp of where everything is when we decide to get some drinks. Walk up to the bar; get a bucket of beer and holy smokes. It’s $80 bucks for a bucket of 6 beers! Damn!!!!! And I thought the $60 dollars for a bucket at Daylight was expensive. What am I gonna do, right? I double fist it and we get in the pool to post up and people watch.

A couple highlights that I remember.
We end up meeting a random Canadian man who is traveling by himself. I love Canadian people because 1) They are so damn nice and 2) Did I mention how nice they are? We shoot the ****, bring him into our group for a little bit. The Canadian and I wonder off from the group and start talking to random people. We end up meeting a group of 10 people from Riverside County and chat them up for a little bit. We end up approach a group of beautiful, well-endowed women and they are straight up jerks to both me and the Canadian. Oh young American women, when will you learn to be nice? A friendly conversation and some great memories could have been made. After meeting random people for about an hour or so, Canada says he has to go. He was seeing Tiesto later that night at Hakkasan. He wanted my group to go. I told him I’m not sure we would last that long. Canada takes off and I head back to my friends.

We are out of drinks and need more. We head to the bar and we get those souvenir cups @ $40 dollars apiece. Sure, you got it like that? Let’s do it. Let’s drink some more, post up and meet more people. As my friends are walking into the pool, I see a group of Asian people staring at the glory that is me. 3 girls, 1 guy. Sweet. My friends hop back into the pool. I stay back and start a conversation. The group is from the Valley in LA. While I’m in the middle of a conversation, one of the girls straight up gives me a nut/dick tap. I look at her and she giggles for a second. Instantly, “I respond, “One for one!’ while I slap her titty. She giggles and we play grab ass for a little bit. We chat more. I plant the seed. I tell her we’ll be grinding when the main dj comes to the stage. She smiles. I head back to my friends knowing that I’ll be putting the hot dog in the bun next time I see her.

As I start to walk to the pool, I stand on a ledge to look for my friends. Suddenly, I hear people screaming. I look over and it’s my friends. They are screaming and others have joined in. They are screaming at me. They know what happens when people start screaming at me, and more specifically, chanting my name, while I’m at a pool party. I just start to dance.

So the build up to the drop comes, I slow down my dance moves, and as soon as the beat drops, I start getting my dance on, even more people are screaming, people start splashing, I body roll, and take a bow. The place goes nuts. I step down from the ledge and I see security right behind me. A security guy steps on the ledge and people are booing him. I hop in the pool and find my friends.

I shoot the breeze with my friends and we are out of drinks again. Another round of Sippy cups @$40 apiece. We chill for a little bit and the entire cycle, of me going off and talking to people, dancing for a little bit, talking with more people is repeated. We get some more Sippy cups and that’s when I start to time travel.

In one moment, I’m in the bathroom pissing. The next moment, I’m grinding up the girl who gave me a nut tap. After, I’m being carried out of the club and thrown into a cab. Then, I’m being kicked out of the cab for opening the door while it was moving and barfing out of the cab. I remember screaming my ass off at the cab driver. Finally, I wake up, alone, in my room wearing nothing but my bathing suit. I’m in and out of sleep in between the times I’m puking my guts out.

I wake up the next day feeling hung and I call my friends to ask what the hell happened. They just said that I was a hot dancing machine mess that got the club pumped. People were talking to us left and right. It was great until I got kicked out for puking. Bummer I couldn’t capitalize much on the women.

Oh well. I’m heading back to Drai’s Day/ Beach Club this Saturday to see 3Lau (no clue, I don’t care much for the music). If you read this, you guys need to come out. Just look for the guy in one of the smallest swim shorts around. You’ll know it’s me. Trust me.

Unfortunately I think you will find that this:

Correlates directly with this:

Unless of course you have the ballin $ to throw around

Enjoyed the good/funny story though you sound like you'd be fun to chill with.

Whey- unless you are a creepy ass mother fudger, In my experience, it's usually 6,7,8 that are jerks. 9-10s are extremely nice and friendly. The most beautiful of women 'know what's going on.'

*** and what I mean when I say in the know, Is that they can be respectful while still denying you. It's called treating the other person with respect.

I find this true in America. In Europe, it's a different story. My experience was that more women were in the know. Europeans are much friendlier.

Poke express world. Two spots- on Craig west of the 15N; I think off the 215e and eastern?

The last session at the Nug, I played pretty spewy. I made several mistakes early on and should have gotten up. I played through anyways.

I find it interesting in that I haven't had any big hands to play, besides several times when I've been coolered, and I haven't lost that much money. Knowing your opponents' leaks make the game sooooo much easier. All you need to do is really pay attention.

I want to give you guys an idea of this swim suit that I wear and my body type. When I saw this commercial, it reminded me of myself. Stocky man in a small swim suit.

Apparently this is NSFW according to the you tubes.
