Hey guys, I'm planning a little vacation to just chill at the start of the year next year. I'll be visiting Bali, Australia and I also decided to go to Vegas in January.

Here's the thing, I hate clubbing and I don't take alcohol or cigarettes. I'm also still torn between going to vegas with friends (I hate going overseas with friends) or by myself.

I'll be bringing along some cash to play poker, just for kicks but besides that, how much should I be prepared to pay for 4 days in Vegas? I'd rather stay there on weekdays since its cheaper and please account for money needed for theatre shows and maybe girls. Heh. I don't want to bring a credit card since I've heard way too many stories of people running their charges to the high heavens.

2) How much should I bring?

You can get a decent hotel on weekdays for $40 or less. The rest (food, entertainment, etc.) is all personal preference.

Hotel $120/night (weeknight at V or B or Wynn?)
Food $100/day
1 ticket to O $125
1 ticket to Le Reve $100
Stripper club $300
Stripper club $300
Cab fares $50/day

Total $1500-2000 (on top of any poker money)

Stay in Bali IMO. It`s one of the nicest places worldwide. I just spent 3 weeks there last month.

Food $100 / day is a pretty good estimate, easier to spend more but you'll be really missing out if you spend less
If you're going to see 'O', don't see Le Reve, too similar in my opinion.
You can obviously spend alot more or less on Strippers, and I'd budget $30/day for cabs.

Doesn't sound like your interested in doing the balla trip. I'd say go alone. Rent a car. Spend days driving around to interesting natural areas around Vegas (January is cool to cold so it's a good time to explore the outdoors). Spend evenings at the poker tables.

Pay for your hotel, car, show tickets in advance. Figure on $100/day for expenses. Bankroll at poker should be around $500/day. I'd say $2500 to $3000 for four days is about right.

Yeah I'm going to Bali at the end of the year with a friend of mine. Its so much nearer to home then LV.

honestly there is no answer to this question without further information. You can look up hotel prices in January which should be relatively low. I'd say at a minimum it would cost you $80/day which includes hotel+tax, meals, and an activity. But this does not include poker money, show tix, or anything like that...

I went with 3 friends this summer, 4 nights including a weekend and we dropped just over $400 each for hotel AND airfare. I think we spent around another $400 total, and that included a nice (~$50) meal every night, tons of drinking, and clubbing every night. And $50/day for cabs is absolutely ridiculous. Even a cab ride from Mandalay to Encore, taking backroads bc of the construction delays at night only ran us $25. If you stay near the center of the strip, most **** in the area is under 15 minutes walking, so if you plan accordingly wont be spending much on transportation.

If your just gonna eat food and play poker, then you're definitely not spending that much money. Figure $400 total for the hotel if during the week, another $300 for food (which honestly is high) and $200 if you see 2 shows.

I'm not planning on dropping my whole nut, but it could happen. Putting aside $2000 to $2500 for poker is only 4-5 buyins at 2/5 NL. Over 4 days, that might not be enough.

Skip O and see La Reve. Eat at 'The Steakhouse' in Treasure Island...will run u like $70 per person but is the best meal ive ever had.

Your cost will depend on where you stay.

Room, weekday, low end(Excalibur, IP, etc)....$30-40 a night. Maybe less.

Food(food stands, eating on poker comps, etc)..... Figure $20 a day.

I've done two nights sharing a room for less than $100 in fixed costs including foor, room, and gas, so it can be done.

Shows...dunno. I think I'd pass if I'm by myself.

The main city of Kuta Baru is the dirtiest and smellies dumphole I have ever visited, it was so disgusting its hard to describe with words. People dump all their garbage on the streets and all kinds of assclowns are harassing you non-stop trying to sell random crap. I also ran into a rabies dog that was like straight from Resident Evil.

The more remote places are nice though, especially some of the small islands which are like 3 hours boatride away. Especially if ur a smoker..

hmm Bali is nice if you know where you're going. They don't really harass you unless you look touristy. Asians can sniff out Asians from other countries really easily so if you're caucasian, gg.
