FWIW I don't think i would enjoy it anyway on WSOP with Reg/Pro Infested site I am man enough to admit eventually they would break me so i stay on ACR where I have now found my comfort zone playing micro cash I started with 20.00 now i am sitting almost at 400. Also I enjoy the slow paced cash games...I'm also starting to go on a upswing as another cash yesterday.

Got stuck like 150 early took some breaks came back and picked up Pocket AA's 3 times and left with my profit for the day. Not a bad comeback.

I havent tried acr yet, we just got it like 2 weeks ago, been monitoring trafffic usualyl it is slower than wsop, couple times i have seen a little more running. Plus there are 7 and 15 "SnG MTTs" those would be fun.

Don't know if you can get in unless you were grandfathered in ACR doesn't take Nevada accounts anymore. Early morning hours like 4am till 7am not much going on but peak times they can have up to 7,000 players on the site.

Just my opinion but I don't really see the huge upside to obtaining diamond if you live in vegas, you get access to some lounges and (mediocre) free food i guess if they let diamond park for free once they start charging for parking that would be a big perk, things like free rooms and no resort fees are the biggest draw if you don't live in LV but visit a lot but is mostly useless to a local i would assume.

If the CET rooms are the rooms you like best and are putting in the hours anyway then sure, but if i was a local i just don't see myself going out of the way to achieve diamond.

You don't really get any free rooms for being Diamond. It's based on other measures. I've been Diamond for years but get no free rooms in Vegas anymore (though I do in other markets).

You go to the top of the list for poker. You also get free parking and valet (it's not if they start charging for parking, they have).

i get free rooms all the time, free airfare to reno, free cruise, $100 diamond food comp/dinner... i get various other offers for free tourneys, i got free tix to live airing of penn and teller fool us... 2 free show tix a month.

if you earn diamond like 99% of people do then you're still losing more than you get

if you game the system well it's great to have in vegas.

on the other hand the mgm gold card is useless.

i had diamond for 2017 by tier matching the borgata black card

i was easily going to get halfway to diamond from the quest for rewards promo + playing at cesars in vegas anyway

so last month in vegas i got 2500 tier credits in one day thru video poker.they triple it to 7500. i lost about 600 on the boring machine.

since then i've booked 25 comp nights in vegas during the wsop, 3 different 3-4 night stays in harrahs ac for the april september and novemeber borgata tournament series and i'm pretty sure i'll be able to book some some more comp nights in vegas once i burn thru the wsop reservations for later in the year.

so worst case for that 600 i'll use 35 nights (and chances are way more) of hotel comps and be diamond next year which will waive resort frees, get me free show tickets, that hundred dollar dinner and lounge access in vegas. well worth it.

But you should distinguish between the stuff you got merely for being Diamond and the stuff you got for playing video poker. The $100 Dinner and the free shows (which almost all suck recently) everyone gets if they are Diamond. Also parking, lounges, resort fees, line privileges, and a few other perks.

The free rooms you get based on your video poker play. I used to get tons of free rooms in Vegas too...but if you make use of these enough times and only play poker in Vegas, they will dry up, regardless of whether you maintain Diamond status. (I do believe you get an automatic free trip at one of the "Diamond aspiration levels".)

right the free rooms were all from losing the 600 earning 2500 tc on vp (ev was about -220 but a big chunk of your ev is hitting a royal which i didn't do)

i expect them to dry up. ideally it takes a while and i can at least milk 3-5 more reservations worth of rooms after wsop before they do. the day i check out of my first resveration i'm booking something for later in the year before they get pulled.

skipping some giant check in line as well as the poker lines is great.
i actually like cesar's room a lot. and while they normally don't have games above 2/5 nl they will during wsop. i remember during colosus 2 years ago lines at every poker room were nuts.
places like ph and cesars had 5/10 nl and sometimes 10/20 nl. by now they'll probably have some plo also.
this year these rooms will be great for me during colosus.
i made good use of the lounges already. i agree shows aren't great. resort fees being waived is worth a ton to me.

the dinner isn't worth 100 to me but it's worth at least half that.

i'll happily do the same thing next year before march madness and wsop to have diamond another year and milk them for a bunch more free rooms.

I didn't remember this post but anyway your saying if I play 15 hours they give an extra 125 TC's on top of that if so i will try to do that at least 1 time a month.

I admit for me it's the free everything Food, drinks, spa, gym, 100 dollar dinner once a year, cut all CET lines, Free parking and Trip to Bermuda or where ever the hell it is. lol On a side note I will go back to MGM proprties once i get my status so this way i will play anywhere.... I admit also I am a promo/comp whore!!

A few hands i got into lost minimal with KQ of spades guy had A7 of spades only lost 45 in that pot simply by checking and pot controlling i wasn't for sure that he had an ace of spades but I knew he had the same draw I did luckily the spade came on the river!

Then i win another hand where I flopped q high flush and was out of position so I checked hoping he got a good piece of the flop and he did he betted all the way to the river and i called him down couldn't raise as the board paired at the end.

So now my count stands at 3,300 TC's

Have they started charging yet for self parking? They announced it but I don't think they are charging yet (sounds like they are close though).

Also you only need Platinum to park for free.

This thread sure makes the MGM cards look like a joke. You get almost nothing for gambling at MGM properties. Why would I gamble at MGM instead of Caesars (I'm talking about non-poker games)?

You gamble at MGM because they have much better poker rooms and poker game selection. I really wish CET had a top tier room in Vegas because there comp system really is so much better, though at least you can use the perks during the WSOP.

Yup, the only poker i really play at CET properties is PH and RIO for WSOP events. For non poker degenerate type fun i play at CET cause Total Rewards is way better for me than MLife

Total rewards comps and status are way better than MGM.

Not sure how true this is anymore but a couple of years ago MGM had way better odds on video poker,a lot less 6/5 bj etc.

I have 0 play at any caesars properties. a couple comped stays, some slot tourneys for the wife, some diamond lounge visits never gambled in a caesars property.

Obviously getting it via online poker is a different animal altogether and isn't comparable.
