Agree. That's why we always end up going alone. Some people can't go on a trip and understand that it's ok for one couple to go here and another couple to go there and meet up later. We've run into that on short weekend trips with couples before.

They want to go to the club and we want to go play poker and gamble....someone has to compromise. Why? It's there trip too....go to the club and we will catch up later, we might even get bored and come find them. Then add in the expense of Vegas and high cost of eating out, temptation for some people to put it all on red and yep you've got a disaster waiting to happen.

I want to try going on a trip with just the boys and gamble all day/night! Probably looking to do something like that for a bachelor party since a bunch of us will be getting married soon!

Hey just read this thread again but yea it's a promotion by this telecommunications company in Canada.........they don't typically give out free things lol.

Also on another note, got my trip booked for Vegas! June 12-17th! I will be playing my first ever WSOP event and will play the $1500 Monster Stack! I will be going with 3 other guys so I will make another thread sometime in June to document my first time attending a WSOP event!

Tripped booked for our 2nd annual Xmas Vegas vacation! The wife (yes, wife by Xmas time) and I will be heading down there from December 24 - 28th to spend Christmas in the best city in the world! I will be keeping this thread for our TR.

Here is a little update from last year:

I can finally say that I have been to Vegas and I absolutely LOVE it! Better yet, it's only a 3.5 hour flight from where I live so it's very easy for us to get to Vegas. I figure this is THE place that I want to gamble so I have decided to not play any pit games in my local casino and just save all the urges for Vegas.

This will be my 3rd time going to Vegas as I was there in June for the WSOP. During that trip I decided to try to play enough pit games to get Diamond status with Total Rewards so that I get to skip lines (I honestly hate lineups) and never have to pay for any hotel stays anymore and I achieved that in 2 days of gambling (36 hours total) after I busted out of my WSOP event. Right after I got home from Vegas I was being contacted by one of Planet Hollywood's executive host asking about my next trip and how she can help. Well she helped for sure as she is comping us for our next trip with a strip suite (~$800/night), $100 in free play and $100 in F&B credit.

For this trip, there will probably not be as much gambling as we just want to wind down and relax after all the intense wedding planning. We will be eating a lot of good food (Bacchanal buffet) and watching a lot of other shows that we couldn't get to on our last trip. We also would like to take advantage of the suite and really just enjoy it overall. I am already getting excited for this trip even though it's still about 4 months away but I figure I should post an update here first.

Oh yeah on another note I will be down in Vegas AGAIN on the Jan 28th, 2016 weekend for a bachelor party so there will be a lot of booze and gambling that trip so I guess I don't have to do that during our Xmas trip.

Will post more updates when we are closer to Xmas time!

I'm going out for X-mas as well...my 3rd time. Always am amazed how many people are out there during that time.

We are looking forward to actually spending Xmas there! Last year we came back right on Xmas day and the flight was empty!

So I couldn't wait any longer for Vegas and decided to book another trip but this time we will be going end of this month! The wife and I will arrive in Vegas on Nov 26 and leaving on the 29th! This means I will be in Vegas 3 times in 3 months! End of Nov, Dec and Jan. I must say I am pretty pumped about this trip!

Here are the things we will try to accomplish:

-Bucchanal Buffet at Caesers for their Thanksgiving menu
-Matt Franco's show at The Linq
-Las Vegas Pinball Hall of Fame

Since I got my diamond status at TR, we will be comped for our room at PH (Resort Suite) and will also be getting $225 in gaming credit along with a pair of free show (TBD). We will also try to take advantage of the Diamond lounge to see if it is worth it and I will promise to post some pictures!

Pictures of BR, shoes, etc to come!

Finally Vegas tomorrow! Will start this thread tomorrow and promise to deliver more pictures this time!

On another note, anyone know who I should contact to change the title of this thread to "dolphiNny5's ongoing Vegas TR" since I will be going to Vegas more frequently now.

My bankroll for this trip! This includes spendings but mostly gambling!

Landed around 6:30pm and had our limo driver waiting for us. Nice lady had a good chat about Thanksgiving and black Friday in Vegas. Decided to give her a nice tip since she had to work on a holiday.

After we checked in, we went to grab a bite... I decided on pinup pizza whereas the wife decided to get fries supreme(?) at pinks.



We decided to catch a show but our selections are limited since its thanksgiving and we arrived late. Decided on Anthony cools hypnosis show....got front row seats. Show is alright....not that great to be honest. I definitely wouldn't go again though.



Didn't get to play any games last night actually passed out at around midnight after coming back to the room. Now I am up at 6am and I am ready to roll some dice! Will update on progress here and lets hope the dices are hot today!

Friday

After a successful craps session, I head back to the room to meet up with the wife as we decide on our day. We decided to just grab a bite at the PH Spice Market buffet for their branch since it got good reviews here and we love brunch!



After that we stroll around the strip as we have to go to The Linq to pick up our tickets to the Mat Franco's show. We followed him on America's Got Talent and was super happy that he won that season and so this is definitely a show that we won't miss! Our tickets were pre-booked by my host and all the charges went to the room and hoping that it gets comped based on our play this trip.

On the way to The Linq we stopped by this place right outside Bally's....seems like a new "outlet mall" type concept and there are alot of small boutique shops so of course with this being black Friday, we have to do some shopping! We only bought very little since there were not really any good deals and having the currency exchange of 1.36 CAD to 1 USD was sure a turn off.

We finally got the The Linq, picked up our tickets and went straight to the sportsbook to place a bet on Oilers beating Red Wings and hoping to parlay this win place on Oilers beating Penguins the next night.





Of course Oilers lost it in OT as we are taking our seats at the show. There goes the parlay! (and yes Oilers beat Penguins the next night.....would've turned $100 into $650) The show was alright.......really not sure what I was expecting! My parents and my wife enjoyed it throughly. After that we just strolled around the casino and went back to PHo to redeem my $225 free slot plays and gave it to my parents as they aren't big gamblers. That occupied them for about an hour and also gave me an hour of craps.....not a great session! Dice were coldddddddddd!

We ended the night with some late night Earl of Sandwiches and it was definitely not as good as we remembered it but was still good....... Back again for our Saturday's adventure!
