Update:

Hi all. Been a long break .
Didnt know people get so mad when u take a break and make so many implications lol.
Anyways i am starting to play poker on regular basis now. Atleast 3 to 4 days a week and slowly move the pace up. already had 3 sessions so far this week and all of em went really well for a 1/3 NL. i was up 800, 1100 and 350 for those sessions.
I dunno if i should use poker agent to refresh all my old sessions and start new or u want me to add all my new sessions to my old records?

Saw some old regs at poker rooms who recognized me.. heck even dealers recognized me. that felt good even met my old roomate . good to know he's surviving vegas playing poker.

Spread love not hate <3

see ya guys around.

Great update, Hidus.

My rant was more about you being lost in dota instead of being out there IRL doing stuff. Small dips in the digital pool are great, but ya gotta swim in the ocean of reality to get the most out of your youth, which trust me runs by quicker than you can imagine.

Wouldn't of given you **** if you were instead like "sorry for the lack of poker guys, I've been taking up golf/working on a personal art project/hiking/dating etc. etc.

You seem like a very nice, and very talented guy, who people mostly likely enjoy being around based on how you're warmly met by the dealers.

You remind me, in ways, of Amusedlol. Talented and personable but shy and possibly at times, introverted. There's nothing negative about these traits, they actually often show high levels of perspective and I intelligence...

I will continue to encourage you two, and all my peers who make poker a living, to live as rich and diverse lives away from the felt as possible

Now go get em, Tiger, there's stuff to do and chips to be stacked

@Natamus that means a lot man.

usually i take like 1 week break when i have burnouts from long sessions. i kinda got lost in the last break and before you know months just went past. thanks to ur posts here and conversations with my roommate, i was able to break the chain. Now i feel like my old self trying to go back to strip whenever possible.

Again i cant thank you guys enough for all the encouragement you give me.
Thank you.

Shout out to "chwclark" fellow 2p2er whom i played session with at bellagio. You were one of the few early posters in this thread who actually encouraged me in this pursuit. Thanks for that PM or i would have never known that was you.

BTW I played a session at downtown where there's no cap for1-2 NL; that game was real good and might play there again. (although those casinos look like they are gonna fall any sec)

hey guys.
update:
i somehow ended up playing 125$ 1pm daily tourney at Aria today after a heavy meal @ indian buffet. it had lot of Christmas tourist crowd and top payed 4ksomthing. Prolly a bad idea since i was practically napping on table during breaks. anyhow ended up chopping that tourney 3 ways even for 3k$ each. December turned out to be real profitable so far.
if i can wake up tomorrow before noon, will go play Venetian deep stack event. hoping this good run continues.
will keep you guys posted.

Happy new year all

Yes i have been real lazy this year. but i am glad i came out ahead despite not keeping lot of hours after WSOP season.
I never do new year resolutions but i am gonna try to keep some goals this year.

My overall profit from this Vegas venture is 25474$ i had 800 hours invested and that makes my ROI 32$ per hour. I tilted off lot of money during WSOP time and had no discipline during those few weeks. Lesson learned. or my winnings would have crossed 30k easy.

1: Quit Moba games: This is like a drug addiction for me. kept me lazy and unproductive for the rest of year.

2. Keep in atleast 8 hrs a day of poker session. I need to keep in those hours and not focus on results. Back in the day i used to get up and leave after i have a quick double up or chase losses etc. No more of that. As long as i am not tired i need to get in those hours.

3. Table selection: This is a huge leak for me. Initially i look for table, but once i get some reads or patterns on some players at table i dont want to leave table. I need to realize i have to move away for the table when it goes bad or even my image is getting bad.

4. Write more poker notes at table: Back in the days i used to carry a mini notepad in my pocket and write a lot. need to bring that habit back and read all those during a weekend and analyze my game.

5. Go to poker meetups: I have always been shy about meeting new people. but it has to change this year.

6. Atleast get 40 min workout every day. I gotto try to stay fit and loose some weight that i gained while playing video games all year.

7. Find coach?? this is hard. i donno how to aproach this and i dont know if i have bankroll to afford it. so this is a question mark for me. need some tips from cash game grinders here.

8. Make packages for medium stake tournaments and sell it on 2p2. I think i am decent enough now to make some packages for mid stake tournaments. I need to believe in myself more and have the confidence. hopefully i will get some package for WSOP goin this year instead of risking my entire roll.
http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=263944 <- that's my tournament track so far.

9. Try to have outside life: nothing to explain here.

10. Tell my family on what i do for living: I think its about time.. i made it this far and i am okay. I will tell em what i do for living. If they accept fine.. if not its fine too. I got nothing to loose. Infact i am gonna tell my sister today that this is what i did for the whole year.

update:
played day1a of Venetian dse 300$ entry with 100k$ guarantee prize pool. made it to day2 with 140k stack. day1a had 462 runners. so i have 60bb and we were down to 48 players. prize pool will climb 250-300k$ easy.

i was lucky with table draws today. layed down QQ preflop and i was right early in the tourney and after that everything went right for me. people were donk shoving into me when i flop set etc etc. made little mistakes and it felt good bagging chips.
doug lee sat down to my right with 100k stack when i had 40k stack and consistently gave me and others most of his stack.
there was a hand where i raised 2.5x utg with TT. every1 folds and doug lee defends his big blind
flop: 7 4 2
he checks and i cbet 3BB and he calls.
turn 2
he checks i check
river 9
he instant donks 20bb and he had a tell that i used to have back in the day when he did that. i call and he had 7 4. so he flopped 2 pair and turned that into a bluff. his river over bet is kinda polarized. that set up momentum for me and i was able to go from 40k stack to 160k in a level span.
