I play at my local casino in Cherokee NC full time @ 1/2 NL. Have played daily for about 10 months now. Just took my first 2 week trip to Las Vegas and Im ready to move there. I Know I dont wanna move there alone if I dont have to. I have a grinder friend that may be going with me to share living expenses and just have someone else we know around. If he decides not to make the move accross country with me, or even if he does, I would like to find another roomate to share living expenses with. Also important that we have someone else to discuss poker theory with when possible to stay sharp.

If anyone else is interested or you already live there and looking for roomate and within walking distance of strip or at least cheap cab ride please lmk. I am thinking of moving into the apts between the rio and palms. I know there is a shuttle that operates daily from rio to ballys and harrahs.

Also the really important thing is I am a diamond member at ceasars properties and would like to get all the free rooms at casinos possible to swap with other players. Thanks.

what is your time frame? i've been in discussion with a couple people that will be out there. ill be there by the end of this month. starting off by living in the wildwildwest then maybe budget suites until a group of us can get settled.

I know a few kids who were diamond and one of them would get 5 days comped and then the other kid would use his comps. Alternating comps like that allowed them to live at the imperial palace for nearly free for 3 months (not all days or weekends were comped). I don't live here but I take extended vacations here just playing poker. Hit me up OP when you get here.

Ya the both of us will be diamond players and that is the main goal to stay at the casinos for free the majority of the time. However we want to have somewhere cheap to split multiways with other grinders for the days we cant get rooms. That is what we do now where we play. We can actually stay every single day because one of our fellow grinders is seven star. He might actually make the move one day too but he is degening way too hard now to focus soley on poker. time frame is as soon as we get back to like 6k or so bankrolled. shouldnt take us too long. maybe month and half to two months.

How in the world do you grind for 10 months everyday and have less than $6K bankroll? I wouldn't move to Vegas with less than $50K to be on the safe side. $6K is nothing when you factor in 6 months of cost of living and the likes. Good luck on you venture though!

I picked up on this too. You've been grinding for 10 months and have less than $6K? How much are you actually making from poker? Or are you just spending way too much money? If that is the case, don't come to Vegas because you'll probably spend even more money here.

Also, you need to be very careful if you decide to move to Vegas because if you go broke, you got to find a way to get back home. Remember to keep something in an emergency fund so you don't end up living on one of the bridges. I hope the $6K is just your poker roll and you have some other money for just living expenses and stuff.

I've lived at IP for a month (25-28 days) three separate times and it's okay. I used my free days and then for the days when I had to pay $20 or $30 (some weekends weren't totally comped), I used my points and it became free in the end.

Guys I do appreciate the input and advice. I know it is constructive critisism. Ya I make between 25-30 an hour grinding 1/2. Really simple reason im broke, the pits. I also understand that I have to make the choice to stop gambling if I move accross the country. There are a lot of hard and fast rules i will have to set before making the trip for good. That being said, I am still looking for others to be in the same boat as us when we get there. We want everyone to gain from each others presence in vegas. Thanks again for the feedback.

If you're not lying about making 25-30/hr in cherokee, why move to vegas? you can't make 25-30/hr in vegas at 1-2 over a significant sample.

Okay, so you make a good winrate but lose alot of it to the pits. You don't think Vegas has the pits? lol

You seriously need more planning my friend. If you're beating 1/2 for about $25-30/hr, I suggest you continue to beat that game at that rate and save your money until you get to about $50K and then perhaps at that point you can think about venturing into a far far away place.

Whatever you decide to do, $6K is nothing by any measure of the imagination. Good luck on what you decide to do.
