Toni and I agreed to a deal just last week. Since then Toni has repeatedly played played games not specified on the stake. Toni pleads ignorance, but for the amount and variety of games he played off the stake I cannot continue staking him. Randall is in make up $300, broke contractual obligations by dropping out of contact, played limits that he was not staked for and has continued to stretch out this process so that we would not post anything.

He did actually reach out after a few weeks of no contact and admitted what had happened as per a part of his email here (late last year, Dec.27/11)

"I wanted to inform you before the new year starts that I have busted the roll on BCP. It seems that I'm still not fit to play on a mental level. My current make up now is $300 and I do plan to buy my way out"

and another email outlining his error: (Jan.11/12)

"Here are the stats, I didn't follow the BRM guidlines which resulted to a wrong on my part so I apologize to you and vince for how I handled this again. Just let me know what I can do so we can work something out on my make up. Will be waiting for your response so I can make this right this time."

*Reference to Vince is my partner vinivici9586 ... not a great guy to roll a stake on if you would like a future in the poker industry as he is a highly respected member of the community.

We have been patient, it's been about two months since the roll was busted and I have had several chats with Randall and he has asked for some time and we have given what we believe is an ample amount of time to do the right thing.... we still have not received $1 towards his make up.

I have informed Randall that we are forced to post this up as we have an obligation to the poker community and if he feels that he has the integrity to do the right thing and pay back what he owes for breaking guidelines and has admitted to, then we are offering him the opportunity to do that.

If he pays back his make up, we will post that he has cleared his debt and he will be free and clear of any obligations to us and we will have his personal information removed so as to avoid any further public scrutiny.

I will be providing him with a link to this post and he will have the opportunity to add any thoughts or comments if he feels that he is being treated unjustly.

Staked for 100NLHU,. lost stake due to variance. No problem, I sent more. Then vanished because of health reasons (probably legit to be honest), then lost some more, more makeup, then vanished due to family tragedy, then lost some more and finally vanished altogether with $1300 of the $2500 total he had.

As always I have made repeated efforts to contact him with no luck. The last thing I got from him was this.



So basically he walked on stake with my money, got another stake. Lost that stake and came back to me suggesting that it was me that needed to be a better backer!

Phone number, address, id, skype chats and any other proof of this guys total untrustworthness by request. In short, Do Not Stake.

4) Offered shares for a live staking in May 2011, offered two types of shares, one guaranteed. I bought some shares of guaranteed, meaning I would at minimum get my original investment back. Poker went bad, variance, etc, he went busto when the staking ended in early September. He contacted the guaranteed shares backers and gave basic outline of how/when we would repay. I was very patient with him, and up until December I was getting emails/PMs from him explaining that he needed to get money off of some US poker sites and then would send it, and I genuinely believe that he meant to repay, but to this day I haven't received a single penny, and I know Birgit70 is also in the same situation.

I've sent him at least 5 emails and PMs since December and he has ignored them, even though he has continued to post on 2plus2. This really surprises me because he was such a well respected member of the forums and has been here for a while. If anyone knows anything more about this or has any ideas how to help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I have backed a lot of players and have been backed myself. I've encountered various problems with players that I have backed and could literally write pages and pages of bad incidents that have happened.

I like this thread and I think it is a great idea and a good service to backers.

But can I ask if there is a blacklist somewhere that lists all of the names on this thread?

This I think would be a good idea. If there was a blacklist then it would need to have links against each person's name that take you to the point on this thread that mentions them so that the potential backer can see all of the detail, including where the player has redeemed themselves.

Without such a blacklist a backer might make an error by backing someone who has been revealed as unreliable, a non payer or a scammer but who for example only appears on page 6 of this thread.

I have my own personal blacklist but I have only been compliling it since 6 months ago and I don't always get time to read every post on this thread.

He rolled me on a $200 swap on part time poker in 2009. He currently has DNS*, and has not paid back, but thought id cross post it here. He also rolled a couple of small stakes on part time poker.

I contacted him on the tables late last year, and he came onto ptp and posted an appeal/PM'd me promising to pay back. He never logged in again, and I am yet to receive payment. I PM'd on here and emailed him, but he hasn't logged on since. Wanted to post this so nobody else does business with a shady person.

He has been playing on pokerstars in the last month, however cannot take the time to pay back the money he stole. Do not deal with him.

Very disappointing if true.

I exchanged PMs with Nofx Fan on 2/14/2012. Was completely unrelated to staking, he simply had some questions about skins of Merge. But it would appear he has selectively ignored PMs. Good luck sorting the mess.

Mr. Green was referred to me by a poker friend as needing a stake for 25-100nl HU. I sent the initial stake and the next day he told me he was very sick, and probably wouldn't be playing much for several days. After a few days of him barely playing, and becoming worried about how he had fallen out with his last backer (a huge argument that ended in him threatening to kick the guy's ass in Vegas) I decided to pull out of the stake. I consulted with several stakers who all said I can pull out any time because it is 100% my money and I am taking 100% of the risk. In addition Jordan had played less than 5% of the hands so I figured it's no big deal.

Jordan would not agree to this and got angry, even though I offered to allow him to keep all the profit PTR showed him making, and the rakeback, I just wanted the initial stake back. I even offered to help him find another stake. He seemed very unhappy and claimed that his illness was the only reason he wasn't grinding. I relented and gave him another chance, under the condition that he had to send me a screenshot of his cashier, so I could make sure the money was there. He agreed with a 'kk' then quickly had to log off.

Days passed and I was over a week into the stake and still he had not sent a screenshot. I sent messages to his email and skype, with no response, even though he still had been playing a bit (and winning). I sent another message that I was ending the stake since he could not send a screenshot or manage to grind seriously, and I was no longer comfortable, and for him to settle up ASAP. He would not respond to those either, so I finally called his phone which I don't think he expected. I said it was time to settle up since he could not even do a basic thing for days such as produce a screenshot. He said 'I'll do it tomorrow', and I said that's not ok settle up now, it will take 5 minutes. He says 'I'm on the phone with someone' and hangs up on me.

I then texted him 'So I should officially consider the money stolen and take the necessary actions?' and soon after I receive the initial stake back in my poker account.
However he made at least $500 on the $1k stake during his bit of play and I wanted my cut especially after all the hassle. There was no way in my mind he would get a free week freeroll with my money and treat me this way, and keep all the profit and rakeback.
I texted him that I would settle for 40% of profit, less than the 45% I had signed for. He texts back 'lol youre not getting *****, youre lucky you got the 1000 back'.

After this, the friend who initially referred him to me (a 2+2er and pro grinder) got ahold of Jordan to confront him about my complaints. They ended up in an argument and Jordan threatened to kick his ass, just like he did to his previous backer (a respected MTT player). Just wanted to warn any potential stakers as to what you're in for.

This guy is a complete scumbag. I signed a staking deal with him to play Midstakes Mtts on Lock. He told me he was a "High Stakes MTT Player", and showed me he had a WPT Final Table and some big cashes. It all seemed legitimate. I spend hours talking to him, getting my refrences who are all busy to aim him. He says he is going to send money to begin the staking deal the next day. The next day he tells me he didn't get it on. And to AIM him tommorow. Tommorow he tells me he still doesn't have money on. Even though he is playing a full schedule of MTT's. Tells me to wait till Tuesday: still nothing.

While all this is happening he is impossible to get into contact with. Send him about 10 aims before I get a response. On Friday he tells me he's gonna need money to grind on Sunday so he will definitely have money by then. On Sunday I aim him about 5 times before 4 hours after I send my initial AIM, he tells me I am bothering him. This is after a week and a half of waiting for stake money. And him having a new excuse every single day.

I have put stuff on hold to play for him, at this point I am angry but keep my cool. He tells me that I shouldn't aim him and hell aim me in 1-2 days and well be good to go. Of course by Wednesday I haven't gotten any AIM, no update. I then AIM him and ask him whats going on. I do this 4 times, and no response each and every time. This is while he is browsing 2+2 and logged onto aim. Today is where I draw the line. I aimed him and asked him to please stop jerking me around. That I will seek out other backing if he can't do it, but to please stop jerking me around. Of course no response from him.

This guy is a completely unethical scumbag. Breaks our staking deal. He sent me no money, after we spent hours ironing out a deal. I had multiple refrences AIM him, and take time out of playing to try to talk to him. Of course he didn't respond to any of them. Or thank them for taking the time to give a refrence. I gave him a chance to make it right, I asked him for just an explanation and apology. Of course I never got either of those, not even a response.

He is also banned on PTP, which should have been a sign he was bad news. I am writing this to warn people, so they don't get involved with him. If I can't get into contact him when I signed a staking deal with him, I don't even want to imagine how he would act with investors money. I wrote this at the urging of a friend, I was just going to let this all go. But I don't think it would be fair to let this happen to other people. Especially if someone moved to Mexico to play under this guy, only to have him blow you off. Fortunately this deal was just for LOCK. But to sum it all up, I wouldn't do bussiness with this guy.
