You are too new to the forum for the marketplace to be at your disposal. Become an active member of the 2+2 community and eventually you will be able to sell action/shares,etc...

Got my account frozen in a time when I already have a hard time to get my milestone bonus before 31 december. Way to go to accuse people without any proof dip****

I prolly should hire online detectives to go after you instead of you going after me

Hello,

I have a question that has probably already been answered, but if someone could please help me out it would be very much appreciated.... I apologize in advance for my ignorance.

I will be traveling overseas for a few epts this coming march and I was just wondering what are the best possible ways to transfer large sums of cash if I were fortunate enough to have a big tournament score?

I am basically searching for the best way to bring my (possible) winnings back home (New York) with as little risk and financial loss (taxes & fees) as humanly possible.

If there is a thread that speaks of this directly then again I'm very sorry and would love to know how to find it!

Best,
Ihatebeyonce

there are 2 ways,,

1. Grab a 20m roll of boxing tape and a XXXL hawaiian shirt and get your girlfriend or a good friend to wrap the 5k bundles around your torso, from just under the navel to just below the armpit, it may pay to shave 1st.. Then simply apply the hawaiian shirt. This method may involve a lot of sweating

2. I have a contact in Nigeria who may be able to help you transfer.. You just have to send him your bank account details. This method can possibly cause more sweating than method 1 though..

I dunno both seem as good as each other upto u..

Got a question about the marketplace and buying shares of other players here. Does anyone here make good money staking players but not staking it like those deals i see but just buying action from players who sell action for tournaments on the online shares or buying shares of live players and those live packages they sell? Thus like buying 20-30 percent of players who sell their entire action for all the tournaments they play etc.

I assume if you do, you can't really buy that many players action as it wont be that profitable right?

Im curious how much a bankroll someone would need to do solely this.

Also another question but aren't majority of ppl who buy shares of other players just going to lose most of the time? I see lot of players who sell shares and get lot of buyers but it seems like when they post their staking rails etc... its usually hand histories of them busting every single tournament.

Another thing. But i see lot of people selling action for tournaments where the total buyins are say $2000... and they are selling up to 40-60 percent. Is there a reason why ppl just dont play lower stakes then or play lesser tourneys that way they have 100 percent of themselves. Im really shocked b/c there are some players names that seem to be very good players yet they have to sell action for just $1500 in buyins and have to sell up to 50 percent. I did read they make money off the markup but im curious why almost everyone does this. I mean... when you have players that are selling actoin even for just tournament and its a $215, $530 and say a $162... and they are a player that seems to be a very good player... im wondering how they could not afford that much in buyins. I read someone say its to lower variance but i dont really understand why players just dont play on their own dime.

However i read that almost everything offered the marketplace is a rip off. Is this true or false? Someone mentioned theres nothing ever good there. Can someone explain this and why? I assume ppl are asking for like 20 percent markup when most of these players dont deserve it. And those who even for 10 percent markup probably doesn't deserve it? Would you say buying shares of players playing live tournamnets are probably more profitable than online? Reason i ask is b/c i see more buyers on the live poker tourney marketplace and i see more good results there as oppose to online ones.

Ye most of your posts are spot on tbh. You have to be very selective about what you buy in the marketplace to have any chance of making any money. This is why you dont see many mtt professionals buying the packs that are available as they understand roi and ev better than the average investor who are generally recreational players and enjoy a sweat in a named player.

I have found their are 3 types of regular sellers in the marketplace imo.

1. the full on hustlers these guys sell knowing full well knowing that their packs are a ripoff for investors. They often play tons of soft mtts for themselves while only selling for the toughest games they play at a markup. Try and avoid these guys

2. the sellers who sell at a markup that is too high for investors to make any money but who believe their packs are profitable for investors or at least give you a fighting chance. These guys you have a better chance with, a good sign is only selling for all the games that will be played during the day so investors get a chance at all the best value games of their schedule as well.

3. The people offering real value. This is pretty rare these days and if i see someone selling these packs i do my best to get in contact with them via skype and buy the action in private as i assume alot of people do.

People sell their action all the time via skype and facebook etc at a fair markup to other professional poker players who understand roi and wont pay over the odds.

For the most part the 2+2 online market place is where you can sell overpriced packages that they know pro poker players wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

Hope this answers your question and am happy to answer questions when i have the time about this subject in private.

hanks for the replies. Few questions on your responses.

1. What soft mtt are these players playing for themselve? I see many players post like the entire sunday schedule and it pretty much are all the tournaments it seems. Or i am wrong here? Thus is see lot of players posting $55 tournamnets, $109, sunday million etc but i also see lower stakes turbos and even big $11 as well. So what tourneys are you speaking off that aren't included in this because most players who post say 20 plus tournamnets usually have those. I however don't see players posting the big $11 and some hot tournamnets though. is that what you mean? Thus they only do those higher buyer ones?

2. How do they come up with the markup each time? Some players might do 7.5%, others do 15.9 percent, then some others do 20%. I assume many times they round up so they get exactly the right amount so thus total buyins is like $3200? Im curious if some players are randomly picking numbers for rois b/c some i see 15.2 percen, others would be 19.2 percent, then some are 8.75%. I assume if you check each players roi on sharkscope, almost all of them will be charging a markup thats always a bit higher than their real roi? It would make sense though b/c if it was lower, it doens't make sense or is my logic wrong here? Im also assuming you rarely find someone that say markup for these tournaments are 9 percent and you find their total roi is like 12%? Im curious if someones roi is 12% in mtt... what should they list the markup as then. Also since almost always the tourneys they are playing are usually higher than their Average Buyin, then thats the reason right?

3. I assume you never see this much on the forum or if there is, usually they have tons of replies immediately?

4. I hear lot of players talk about roll it over. Im not sure what that mean exactly but i could tell any unused amounts go to next tournamnets. Are there ppl that never do this? Because if i buy percentage from players, i would be confused with this. The only thing i would understand is if someone didn't play any tournaments then refunds everything back... that would be pretty simple.

5. Wouldn't you say unless you are buying at least 20% of a player, it really isn't worth it? I think 10 percent should be bare minimum if you want to make something right? Yes make sense some players want a sweat of a big name player but its just 1-3 percent... so i figure whats the point.

No problem happy to help and expose the markup con.

1. its a mixed bag like i said a fair few sellers do sell their whole schedule or close to it and thats generally the fair way to do it. The hustlers only sell to their most difficult games like alot of hypers and high stakes turbos where roi is low and only by selling at a obscene markup are these games profitable for the players. Please see this post for a more clear explanation of this.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...0&postcount=64

2. Some players are better than others and they can justify higher markup with their results. The current trend seems to be saying look i have $400k profit online im worth 1.2 at high stakes mtts. What they don't tell you and you can find out easily enough with a bit of filtering that all that profit is from low stakes mtts like $45 and under. At mtts $50 and above they are actually losing players. This is alot more common that you would think. Very clever when you think about it they charge markup for games they are losing players in and that makes them worth playing.

3. Not very often no.

4. roll over is basicly rolling over the returns for them previous package to the next one. Example investor has 5% of a $5k package on a tuesday the total returns are $1000 so they have $50 credit. The next package is a $3k package and they want to roll over 5% the cost is $150 for the next days and they have the $50 credit so they just send $100 instead of multiple transactions.

5. yes i prefer to have 5% minimum but this can be different for each person.

If you are considering investing in packages here do alot of research filter for stakes on sharkscope and try and watch them play at some point. Some people are still playing 2010 poker in 2015 and have to charge markup to survive.

I'm and American living in America. Can I use my stars account just to invest in staking? I never had a stars account pre black Friday. I opened my "play money" stars account. Can I receive money there and then pay it out to invest? I've been saying I cannot all this time, but it hit me that I may be able to use the account this way, as long as I never play while in the U.S.

You CANNOT sell SHARES here until you have been a member for 6 months, have marketplace approval etc.

You CAN look for a backer by posting in this thread. Pay attention to the rules in the opening post.

Gl bro.
