Obviously you are going to make more if you get paid out daily since you don't have days where your profit is offset by loses.
Basically just want to know what is fair. Are there even cash game staking deals with no makeup? What kind of percentages would you be looking at for a deal of this fashion.

Why would you do staking w/no makeup? I'd say something like 80/20, in your favor obviously, sounds fair. Also I'll go link you the "Staking guide to cash/mtts". Uno memento.

Semi grunch, but why is buying FTP points so scarce anymore? I have been taking a break from playing for a little bit, but trying to sell Full Tilt points to get back in, yet nobody seems to be buying. I'm assuming this is Black Card related, but I just wanted to pinpoint the exact reason.
Thank you in advance.

Due to BC multipliers and FTP store price increases, points are not as valuable as they used to be. It looks like the true market rate is going to be closer to $3 with the new system.

Re: Marketplace Questions, Random Stuff - NOT FOR BUYING/SELLING
I think I asked this a while ago, but now I'm finally ready to post something for sale, so I'll check again.
Which is considered to be the best payment method to use (as a seller) ?
Not only which one is safer for the seller, but also which method is more popular, and thus something that buyers are expecting as an option.

I'd say probably PS>FT>PP imo. FT money might be a little bit more valuable with the FTOPS starting but I'm not sure. But afaik people usually prefer poker sites, plus the whole "Paypal scams/reverse charges" element.

1) The typical form of payment is Stars/FTP transfers, right? As a seller, is there anything risky about that? Once I see the $ in my account, am I 100% safe to ship the item(s)?
2) I have no Marketplace feedback, so I'm unsure how to project myself as a safe seller. I know the trick of including my 2+2 screen name on a piece of paper in any photos, but I don't know anyone else on the forum that can be a "reference". I have a stellar rating on eBay, but it's a different screen name, so I'm sure that does me no good...
FWIW -- I will be selling about 20-30 poker books.

Be careful who you do business with.
Photos and whatnot help a little bit, but as you're relatively unknown there's not all that much you can do. Chances are no one is going to be shipping large sums to you up front, so you may be asked to send first. Of course you've been around longer than the guy who showed up 6 months ago, which helps a little.
Personally I try to avoid doing business with unknowns altogether and stick to forum regs, the flake/scammer factor here is really bad. But then again, you're just selling used books and not Mac Pro laptops. I'd say take a few photos, piece them out, and give a clean screen name they can ship to. See what happens.

Just try to deal with established members and everything else Gonso said.

Guess that isn't relevant to your question, but good to know. Also everyone you want to sell to or that wants to buy from you, ask them for positive trades/feedback or ref's. If they get all huffy puffy then obviously something is wrong. A guy w/a clean 2p2 record and that's on the up and up would have 0 problems sending you some sales or a stake he received that went well etc. Join date and post counts help too but aren't the end all way to know if someone's a scammer. People can amass post counts in POG and BBV etc.

And a question on poker transfers. Any real difference between Stars and FTP? Is one easier/simpler to do? Safer from scammers?

Here is the conversation from the last time you asked this. (from this thread fwiw)

Re: Marketplace Questions, Random Stuff - NOT FOR BUYING/SELLING
I read the marketplace rules and meet all the critera. I sent a message to be approved via the control panel. It says I am approved on my control panel but I still cannot start a thread in the marketplace.
Am I missing something or is this an error?

You're not approved. Probably related to your HOP on ptp.

pretty surprising. imo if my ptp account proves anything it is that I am more trustworthy handling money than 9/10 people who apply to the marketplace. It was pretty much a small misunderstanding of a rule which lead to an argument, which lead to me being an ******* when I was wrongfully insulted. And being stubborn I would rather wear the gear than say I am wrong when I didnt believe I was.
So I wont have access to it until that runs out in 3 months?
