Lamborghini Freeroll Weekly (or Final) tickets at PokerStars

I might soon find myself with several extra "Lamborghini Freeroll Weekly Tickets" since I'm currently registered in all of the 8 remaining Weekly events, and have also already qualified to the "Final" event. (/endbrag)

I might want to "sell" additional tickets that I earn, and I am wondering if this is allowed here.

I also am wondering if it is better to sell the ticket outright for one fixed price, or whether I might want to "stake" someone as a one-time entry to a tournament. Or should I attempt a combination of both?

Which forum would be best to "sell" these tickets in?
Staking? or MarketPlace?

Thanks!
Tommy

Tommy I'm thinking this forum is right for that sort of thing, but I don't know a whole lot about MTT tickets so PM a mod there directly to ask. If it's not right there we'll find somewhere here for you

Thank you for pointing me to the mtt-community forum. I did PM a couple of moderators there and they said it was permissible to post in the W$/T$ thread. I think it is best to post an ad in the MarketPlace forum and then post a link in the W$/T$ thread to my MarketPlace ad.

After looking at the MarketPlace threads, it almost seems that selling a ticket to a tournament is out of place there compared to the other items being sold. Are there other forums or theads that might be appropriate or worthwhile to post a link to my ad?

Thanks!
Tommy

Posting links to it in other forums would be a little spammy tbh. If they are ok with it there - then keep it there.

I contacted 2 Mods for that forum, and one suggested that if I had a MarketPlace ad that I should post links in that forums T$/W$ thread and also in the "monthly [Censored]" thread. The other mod suggested posting in those 2 threads as well.

Selling tickets to tournaments doesn't fall neatly into the existing forums. They certainly aren't T$ or W$, but yet people selling/trading those might be interested in buying a tournament ticket.

Likewise there is a "gift card / Poker Site Points" forum, but tickets to tournaments aren't exactly the same thing, yet others in that forum might be interested in tournament tickets too.

Instead, the MarketPlace forum is the only one left, and I get to place an ad for tournament tickets next to ads for the following: Automobile Tires, Computer Mice, Clothing, GIFs.

Hopefully you can understand why it is that I want to post this ad (or links to it) in other forums without it appearing to be spamming.

Anyway, I'm doing a little experiment of my own right now by just having the ad in the MarketPlace. After 24 hours I will place links in the aforementioned threads. So far I have gotten an interest in my "Final" ticket, but have not had any interest in my other "Weekly" tickets yet.

What gtpitch said. If they have a spot for you, use it and make do, it doesn't need to be crosslinked everywhere. We understand you'd like it in as many places as possible, but so does everyone else.

EDIT: Actually I'm not even sure why you bothered to ask, because even after being helped to the right forum and had your question answered by several mods, you still went ahead and put it here.

i know you guys just made the marketplace a lot better by creating the selling shares forum, but what about creating two - a high stakes and low stakes selling shares forums just like mtt strategy? there are so many threads that they get lost very fast, and there is also a very wide range of stakes being solicited by players. some guys are looking to sell shares of $50 some shares of $50k. it would help investors too. i know i'm not interested in buying low stakes shares. some others probably not interested in buying high stakes shares.

I apologize.

I had interpretted the other mods responses as suggesting that I should put an ad in the MarketPlace forum and then link to it from their forums.

The Marketplace sticky has the following:

Quote:
All transaction feedback for the entire Marketplace Group...
If I have a transaction in a forum outside the Marketplace, can I still post positive or negative feedback in the Marketplace forum?

Read the full titles of the feedback threads, then read the first line or two in the intro posts. I know you've seen them as they're right next to the Rules thread (and this thread). Right there in the title clear as day.

Now let's move on please.

The title says, "Marketplace" and "subforums".

Does the subforums refer only to Marketplace or to all of 2+2.

There is nothing in the sticky that says what is allowed if you make a post in the Marketplace that is locked because it should not have been there in the first place. I'm trying to not get myself into trouble for making a post and then having a mod infract me for "not following the rules".

One interprettation of what you are saying is this:

1. Only for properly sold items in the Marketplace (and the Marketplace subforums) can you post in the positive and negative feedback threads.

2. Doesn't matter where on 2+2 the thread is, you can post in the positive and negative feedback threads.

3. If a mod locked your original "for sale" thread, what makes you think you can post in our forum in the positive and negative feedback threads?

If I make the post, what will your intepretation be? 1? or 2? or 3?

Asked and answered to death and covered in your ATF thread. There's nothing to interpret, you asked a mod and were given a direct answer and ignored it. This topic is over. -G

I honestly don't know and honestly do not want to get into trouble. So I will ask once again:

Is it ok for Tommy2+2 to post in the positive and negative feedback threads about the Lamborghini tickets that he sold?

Good lord, just go ahead. It says in unbelievably clear language that it's for transactions taking place in the Marketplace and Subforums only, but if you can do it without a diatribe that is. - G

Butteryfly knives are illegal aren't they?

I am not sure. And if they are I think it is only certain states. Some people would say a lot of things are illegal, that I think is perfectly legit. That's why I am asking before posting it.

If the government says it is illegal you certainly can't sell it here...

i bought a butterfly knife here in PA before. they're even legal to carry around in your pocket.
some states make it illegal to conceal, but they're still legal in most states for home possession.

it's just on the buyer to understand his state laws as far as what he can do with the knife once he buys it, and on the seller make sure he's not selling to one of the few places where it is illegal.
switchblades are a different story...but butterfly knives aren't switchblades so..at least not in most jurisdictions. some whack ass places still classify it as such though, so just make sure you find out before you send it to somebody.

and who said anything about peace pipes? forever troll is forever trolling.

Things that are legal in some areas but not others generally can't be sold on 2p2 for obvious reasons. I don't think butterfly knives are a big deal personally but they're illegal in a lot of the US, and outlawed in many countries. eBay bans them as do most online places, and there are more potential problems for the site then its really worth.

So things like this, bayonets, bongs, pipes, seed kits for pot plants (etc.) we don't have much to do with.

It loosely falls under "illegal items", but it's a little vague wrt weapons, we couldn't think of every possibility when writing it. And without making a science out of it, folding utility or swiss army knives wouldn't be much an issue so maybe anote on weapons will get added.

For whatever reason a ton of states and countries outlaw butterfly knives, so it is what it is for us. I haven't even seen one in 20 years. A little before that it seemed like every other dude had one.

Can I link to a different website with the details about the item I'm selling? Specifically, a forum thats sole purpose is to privately sell items of that nature?

No, these forums are for 2+2ers who are looking to sell items to one another, not advertise their listing on other sites, sorry.
