Are you the coach for me? Are you the coach for me?

I'm just gonna try to explain what I look for in a coach. Basically I don't need a "coach-coach". I need someone to guide me along the way. I've had guys who went over hand history's and sweats and all, but that just isn't for me. I'm quite disciplined in going over my hands myself. I'm sure coaches can spot tons of leaks but this approach just doesn't work for me (no idea why).

The thing is, I like to master aspects, perfecting them if you will. I can spend a week on just rfi alone. Then I'm done with the rfi but I can't find a good source on if my work that was done was ok, good or mediocre.

An example of the "coach" i need is: I send him the rfi ranges, he takes a look at them. Tells me them if they are ok, if they need work (best case scenario: tells me what isn't right) and i'm off on my own again optimizing.
When I'm done with that, the "coach" I need would tell me to study concept x. After the study I would send a .doc with a summary of what I learned and the coach would comment on the summary. If something was overlooked, if I understood something wrong etc
When that's perfected I can analyze my own play according to the summary (where I missed spots or overdid it)

So if you happen to think that you would like this "not a lot of work for you, all in your own time, whenever you have time" approach (when things go right ofc), send me a pm please.

You have just described what coaching SHOULD be and how most of my perfect coaching relationships worked out.

You need a mentor. Most people think they need a coach, what most people REALLY need is a daddy.

Anyways, i'm not available, but gl, ur on the right way.

OP

I dont undestand , if you want that just pay someone and tell him the way you like to work

Although i actually dont agree with it , if you are the customer and you PAY the coach
you should be able to tell him : this is how i like to do things
Then he tells you yes or no and why .

Seems quite simple.

If you want to really earn the maximum in most poker games, you need to be really good at recognizing what players are doing and adjusting to it.

Ranges are a huge part of this, but it's not the way you seem to describe it, finding some set range that a coach can greenlight and you're on your way to playing winning poker.

If you're not winning, you're probably better off reviewing actual games with a focus on what hand ranges you should be using in real situations and why. A good coach can help you with that. A good video can too, there are several sites for 6 max+ cash or MTTs (guessing you play one of those given your RFI comments).

I'd look there, you're not going to save money by spending extra time coming up with ranges that a coach can just tell you are off or not, where they are off instantly, then send you to adjust and crush.
