Synergy Poker - New Interactive Poker Training Site!

There are plenty of training sites available online today, all striving to help players improve their games, but it's always been a passive process of simply watching videos. It's been proven through a number of studies that an active, engaging learning process is superior to a passive one and students are able to accelerate their learning this way.

Synergy Poker features interactive simulations with an engaging learning process where the user will be able to make decisions and play through hands as if he were actually at the poker table. As the user plays and progresses through the hands and he'll receive audio and visual aids to help explain the coach's thought process and see whether his or her decision is along the same lines as the coach. The coach’s bet or raise sizing preference is also shown to help players with their bet sizing which is a very common problem. At the end of the simulations, the user will also receive a feedback report to review his actions and bet sizes per street to help easily pinpoint any potential leaks.

Synergy Poker features only players who are strong winners in today's current games and have the graphs to back it up. The coaches are not only talented poker players, but have been selected based on their ability to teach others and articulate their thoughts. The coaches include ImFromSweden who is a very well known 2p2’er and has been around high & mid stake poker games for a long time, TC Blade who plays in high stakes cash games daily and has a very strong background in tournament play (most recently finishing 4th in the WSOP 10k HU event losing to eventual winner Brian Hastings and defeating one drop winner Antonio Esfandiari and Isildur along the way), JamesMa who is a well known midstakes veteran with a strong coaching pedigree, long time poker coach Derric Haynie aka SixPeppers who recently wrote “Quantum Poker”, Yannick Tilt_Avenue Lamarre who is one of the biggest 1/2nl 6max winners on pokerstars this year, Matthew TheGinger Pitt who is a solid grinder in low stake MTTs and the roster will only continue to grow. Check out the coaches page to see the entire list of coaches along with their biographies and recent results!

With no signup or membership fees, Synergy Poker offers affordable coaching for players regardless of their budget. Members are able to purchase products they feel will improve their game without having to pay for content they do not need as is the case for most subscription based sites.

Feel free to post any comments, thoughts or suggestions about the site in this thread!

Just curious. Is Synergy Poker paying a promotional fee to 2+2 to get a sticky?

I think you need to give them some time. The demo 2 hands look very slick. I like the idea of playing along. I also like the idea of paying for a unit. There is a ton of filler on training sites. I watched hours of videos looking for nuggets of wisdom on a few training sites and find that putting up new content tends to trump a smaller number of video's but higher quality. I get it they are only giving the members what they want new videos added all the time.

Yes, it's a paid ad (similar to sponsored forums).

I figured. Maybe my post will stop a few of the others trying to start their own training site discussion thread.

They have a very interesting concept. It has been done but not with such a slick user interface. I am impressed with the demo hands.

Each simulation has it's own price usually dependent on the coach and stakes. For private coaching sessions, once again each coach charges his own price.

We are still looking for some good omaha talent. We will be constantly surveying the online world for strong players with the ability to explain their thoughts to others who wish to be a part of a training site.

The plan it to release content every week from the coaches, however the site doesn't have a set schedule yet at this point. There are no monthly fees at the moment as we wanted Synergy Poker to be a site where users could test the interactive software at a low price and it would be more affordable to those who weren't willing to pay a monthly subscription fee. In the future, it could possibly be implemented, but there is no plan for the time being.

That is one of the benefits of our "pay as you go" type of plan, you can buy whatever simulations you feel will help your game such as specific limits, specific games or coaches who you like learning from without having to pay for "filler" videos that may not be a game that you play at all.

And yes it got a sticky because of the banner campaign we are running on 2+2

Why is it not compatible with Chrome?

I'm not downloading another browser just to view the demo.

Each browser uses different objects and elements for audios/visuals so right now the programmers have only been able to stabilize the software for Mozilla.

Re: Synergy Poker - New Interactive Poker Training Site!

It's been brought to my attention that some people are unable to successfully play through the demo, please be sure to be using the most updated version of mozilla firefox and have quicktime installed for the mozilla browser.

You can test if you have the correct plugins through a link near the top of our FAQ page.

Re: Synergy Poker - New Interactive Poker Training Site!

or we can wait til you optimize the demos for the rest of the browsers as some of your consumers want to stick with what they feel comfortable with.
and you have to eventually reach them so it is a good time to start expanding your focus from mozilla to explorer and the rest of them.
