Tournament is the big $11 35k guaranteed

I didn't have any information on the player so I feel in this tournament he could have almost any 2 cards here including straight, flush or trips (which may have folded to a river bet?)

Have I made a mistake in this line or was this the best outcome for me here?

Maybe check the flop with some of your possible hands and see what your opponent does on the flop? I mean, you missed the flop and you are out of position, so you didn't pick up any equity. But, maybe your opponent did? Maybe check/raise the flop?

Maybe check/call the turn to try to get to a cheaper showdown?

It seems like hands like a7s, 67s, 78s and 79s are all in their calling range preflop in position along with some AXs hands that missed the flop and AXs flush draws.

With one spade in your hand, I think maybe you can call a turn bet and then check the river too and see what happens.

As the hand was played, when you gave up on the river, you opened the door for them to bluff with two overs (but why would they call with two overs on the turn?) and maybe 1010 and 99 turned into a bluff on the river, too. More likely, you were just beat by trips or the flush.
