HU Group Coaching
Seems Group coaching is all the craze at some of the popular coaching sites. I havnt seen many HU group coaching offers around and was wondering if anyone knows of any coaches that are doing group coaching?

Re: HU Group Coaching
Your best bet is to likely PM any HU coaches you are interested in to see if they offer this.
This can be successful, particularly for a theory session or Q and A with players in the same ballpark skill level. I could also see a group of students sweating the coach working quite well for heads up poker.

Re: HU Group Coaching
There are HU groups on deuces cracked. Maybe you could join up with one of those teams.

Re: *Official "I want to start/be in a study group" Thread*
I come from a competitive trading card game background (Magic, VS, etc), and have experience playtesting with a playtest group in the past, and am looking to be a competitive Poker Player too. I haven't played high stakes poker at all and only got my feet wet in $10 SNGs.
I started out with $25 on the site, and turned it into $300 in 6 months, but my ROI after about 500 SNGs was only 8%. I understand that this could be due to bad variance, but when I started playing $10.00 + $1.00 SNGs, at first I showed a profit, and then after about 80 games, I was actually only an even money player.
I haven't tried very much low limit cash games (I think I've played about 2,000 hands total). I am a much better tournament player than cash game player, but feel that I can improve in both areas.
I have a competitive drive to be great at the strategy games that I choose to play, and I know from experience that a team is the best and fastest way for everyone to grow when knowledge is combined.
Is anyone part of a Study Group that would let me join? I downloaded the program so that I can sweat hands as well, so I think this is a great tool for a group to have access to.
Send a message to pocketfours on twitter, thanks!

Why was my thread moved and merged here. I was not asking about study groups with fellow players. I was asking group coaching from a coach such as on DC that you pay for.

Hey we have a 2+2 Poker Study Group that was formed I believe over a year ago. Just a random bunch of people that all come together to talk about poker and keep each other company. Anyone is welcome to join, the group name is 2+2 Study Group. It currently has almost 100 members, although only a handful are active. Feel free to message me on Skype, Embryonal for a invite.

Re: *Official "I want to start/be in a study group" Thread*
Looking to set up a STT study group for low buy in players. I'd like to get 4-7 players who will work together and review each others hand histories. I want this to be an online group that works through email and pm.
I will be the organizer. I am not a super expert. I would just like to be a regular member. I will send emails and try to make sure that the group functions. My plan is to have a rotating pairing so that we each have an opportunity to work with every member. Each week we will all have to review on entire STT for another member. So you will have a whole week to do the review and you only need to comment on the interesting hands. Then email your comments. No appointments to keep. Do it in your own time. The next week we will all be rotated to another member. My plan is to leave it up to members if they share their online name. The policy will be that this is kept private.
Players must have a minimum of 100 STT games played , have a basic understanding of odds, and must have read at least 1 poker book. I know this is not asking much but you have to start somewhere.
My hope is that we get a good response and we can set up 2 groups so that more advanced players feel challenged.
Please dont post a response here PM me instead. Ill repost this every other day for a few weeks to see if it gets any traction.

I am interested in the study group. I mostly partake in 1/2,2/4,3/6, or sometime 5/10 Limit but only 1/2 NL. My email is boom5720@gmail.com. Let me know how to sign up. I am tired of breaking even.
