First of all, i would like to wish happy christmas to all the posters/readers of twoplustwo, hope you have a nice one and wish you health, big money and all :P

I'm writting this because recently, i've been thinking about switching to mtt (i'm actually a 6max grinder) and i was wondering if any one of you guys could tell me (in your opinions) if it would be better for me to hire a coach (i guess 4-6 hours would be in the 200-300$ range?) or buy books (I was thinking of buying: Kill everyone + Raiser edge + Secrets of Professional Tournament Poker, Volume 1 + 2 by Jonathan Little. The books would be around 75-100$ for all while a coaching session would be around 200-300$ i guess?

Which one do you think would be more benefit and help me learning faster ?

I think a coach would probably help you learn faster, but if i were you would save that money and teach myself

Training site for $30 a month is gonna be a good bet. Will help with basics for sure and its cheap

100% no, prob the most overated piece of junk in the market. There are a couple of good instructors but most produce absolute crap

Pocket fives training is ok, with gags vids and assainato vids pretty decent. Dueces cracked is ok though there is not alot of great material but daaaaangs intro series ia good for basics

I would suggest the 7 day free trail at DC and download everything u can and then cancel it. Then probably pocketfive training or cardrunners for further training.

Fwiw i have been a member of all the major training sites and TPE is last by a long way. Quality over quantity is what you want

Fwiw I am a mtt coach and recommend people to training sites routinely in your spot.

Once you have the real basics, stack sizes, push fold down to good level then you might want to think about a coach

Well, to be honest, i consider myself to be a solid player early tournament. My problem (imo) starting during the middle tournament, once we get in the money. I have problems with agression it feels like. (Specialy playing with a 10-25bb stack). Well i guess i shouldn't registered for tournamentpokeredge but i just took a month oh well. Do you offer private coaching?

I find TPE too be a solid site. I have been a member elsewhere and have been a member at TPE on two different occasions and am happy. No sign up fee is huge.

You will find plently of solid videos on TPE and there are some very good instructors. at different levels of my poker knowledge I have found their site very helpful.

I think you need to really find some instructors you liek and enjoy and sign up for the site they are at. I have a few personal favorites at TPE. yes there are some whose videos I don't enjoy or find helpful. each instructor has a unique style and each person will have different tastes. you didn't go wrong with TPE. just make sure you are watching the vids, taking notes and asking questions to things you dont understand.

Fair enough and good for you that you got a ton out of it.

But having watched prob over 200+ videos across, leggo, dc, cardrunners, pocketfive training, bluefire and TPE. TPE was way way below the level of the others. Daryl jace and betudontbet have good vids, but betudontbet has just joined another site. Some of the others are outright bad tbh

There is just far better on the market than TPE imo. Plenty of sites with no sign up fee and no drm better roster and better back libary.

No harm in doing 7 day trials at all the sites to get a feel for them and decide for yourself

I do 100% agree with you make notes on vids and ask questions about spots. Watching a video passively is a waste of time, and actually i think it should take you 1.5-2 hours to watch a 1 hour vid. Then asking your questions in the forums to get feedback from the vid producer.
