Low-Mid Stakes SNG Coaching

I've coached several players in the past and am looking to add more students.

Directory listing:

Re: Low-Mid Stakes SNG Coaching

I'd like to recommend Aaron. His approach to coaching will work particularly well for improvers, who have learned the basics and want to acquire the skills to beat the 16s and similar games or to add ROI, which I am pretty sure anyone will if they take a couple of sessions with him. His thought process seems spot on to me and he's good at getting it across. I was pretty nervous about getting coached, but Aaron made it pretty painless.

Re: Low-Mid Stakes SNG Coaching

Was looking for a coach who could take my thought process and tweak it to be more +EV. So this is what hooked me in:

"You'll need a mic, because I will want you to "think outloud" during your games."

Pretending your talking to yourself, saying aloud why you make all the moves you do, this gives Aaron an idea of your thought process. Then when your sesh is done he gives you confidence in reassuring which aspects of your game are solid, and gives clear constructive criticism in areas you need to improve. This is the most effective way to teach imo.

Re: Low-Mid Stakes SNG Coaching

I have known Aaron for a few years now through poker. I am a professional poker player, and have played pretty much everything (SNG's, MTT's, NL, PLO). Recently, I started playing the super turbos on Full Tilt, and asked Aaron to sweat me for a session. The session was only like 20 minutes, but the results are clear for everyone to see -

The coaching happened at the black vertical line. As you can see, I was pretty much breakeven until the session, and after the session, my EV line and my actual profits started rising steadily.

We went over a few fundamentals, had some interesting discussions, and it just got me thinking more about spots where I would usually auto push/fold.

You cannot go wrong with Aaron the Baron's coaching!!

Aaron:

Was wondering if you can help me out, I would like someone to review my play on $20 SNGs on Full Tilt and offer suggestions. Please e-mail me on this account and I can give you some more details of what I think I need help with.
