Hi guys,

There have been a few threads popping up here regarding Keyser. , a former 2+2 coach who had his ad up for a few months. Many of you bought packages and coaching from Keyser and are now wondering where he's at/curious at him disappearing. Keyser hasn't really been online very much in the past two months and this thread is to provide information to the public and (primarily) his former and current students for his whereabouts.

A bit of my own history/relationship with Keyser- He's a very good friend of mine and I've talked on and off with him for years. I've stayed at his place in Vegas multiple times and he is one of my better 'poker friends'. Keyser also does some professional work with me and is a coach with our stable/we do financial transactions as well.

Keyser first started to take a bit of a personal break in early October. I believe one of his family members was sick and he was spending time with his family during this time. Although Keyser wasn't online much, he still told his students that he was taking some time off.

Later in October, Keyser disappeared altogether. After he did not reply via phone/email/skype, I decided to do some digging. I contacted his brother via facebook (I did not know it was his brother; only someone who shared the same last name as Keyser) and asked his whereabouts/if he was okay. His brother told me that Keyser was involved in a very serious accident and sustained severe head trauma on October 26th.

He was in a coma for ~2 weeks and recently woke up. He was able to identify his parents by blinking and, more recently, is able to write and speak to some degree. This is great news because the doctors did not know if he was ever going to have the ability to do those two things.

Keyser's brother stated that he is not sure on the recovery time for Keyser and it's going to be at least a year until they see the true ceiling of Keyser's progress.

I'm sorry for those who received coaching from him and this ended up happening. For those who are in that situation, please PM me your email and I will try to keep you updated as much as possible on Keyser's recovery. If and when he gets better, I will also work with you guys on a repayment and updates.

PM me or message in this thread if you have any questions. Thanks.

Wow this is devastating. I had extensive coaching with Keysar he helped me push my have to unseen limits I would be no where in the game let alone crushing 1/2 if not for him. My heart goes out to his family and prayers are with him. Truly shocking. It would be a tragedy if he can't return to the game he loved so much.

Good luck with the recovery Dan.

I don't have any experience with anything this serious, but hopefully it's something that'll be somewhat effected by his amazing work ethic and he can "fight" this.

I have had the good fortune of working with Dan for the last 4 years and he is such a genuinely good person. I cannot even express how bad I feel right now. I had been messaging him for several weeks and was starting to worry something was wrong. We gotta keep sending him good vibes from the poker community, he needs us.

I'm interested in helping, he's a great guy who was undercharging for his coaching. Would like to help him cover that when he recovers

Really sad news. Really nice guy. So helpful way past my coaching package even finished with him, and put way more into the package than what he charged.

Thoughts go out to him and his family. If there is any information about donations would appreciate if you could pm me please Orange

God this makes me sad. Keyser was the nicest guy I met in poker. He helped me out for free when I was struggling to beat 100nl. I honestly don't know if I would have turned pro If he never reached out to me.

Get well soon Dan my thoughts are with you.

Sorry to hear this. He was in the middle of coaching me and I have been waiting months for him to do my session review with me. I thought he was just ignoring me.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Danny and his family.

I just stumbled on a thread where Keyser. posted. I can't link the details right now bc I'm on phone, but he is recovering and in therapy and has been for a few months. I am not on 2p2 that often but still check my subscribed threads. He just happened to post in a thread I was subbed to.
