Dan is great and this post is great: the scale of the ordeal he went through is probably beyond the capacity of most people here to grasp, me included. His progress is seriously impressive.

TYVM for the kind replies guys! I mostly feel terrible and frustrated about everything but that there are people out there that are caring and wishing for me makes me happy. :-)

So today a kind of strange situation started. My neurologist recommended I get a video EEG, an electroencephalogram, it's stuff glued on my head which is a "test that detects electrical activity in your brain using small, flat metal discs (electrodes) attached to your scalp. Your brain cells communicate via electrical impulses and are active all the time, even when you're asleep. This activity shows up as wavy lines on an EEG recording." So since I've had more seizures something might be going wrong in my brain so I need to wear this thing for 10 days while I'm being measured.



yes I grew the beard back, lol. And yes Malefiicus i get to hide my bald head for a while. :-)

I dunno why but the lady who came out to put it on had to put it over my face for a while but she did.



and this thingy is in this bag that i have to walk around with for the next 10 days, even if i golf or go on a walk or whatever. I also can't shower except for the 3 times she comes by to remove it for a bit.



there's a video camera that is recording me for all this time to watch if something happens with my brain. talk about no privacy!

Oh hello everyone. Thanks so much for the kind words that were written here!

I've had the urge for a while to write like a 10,000 word explanation here about my current life and my nice recovery, but instead I've decided to just send a link to an AMA (ask me anything) thread I just started yesterday in SSNL. Hello again 2p2!

Just figured today was a good day to give an update. It was exactly two years ago today, October 26, 2014, that I had a seizure and severely injured my brain and it started bleeding profusely and I had two surgeries and was left in a coma for two weeks. Well, I think I've come a long way in those years, and I thank people here for your support!

As of now I'm a lot better than I was a while ago. Still not as sharp in several areas as I was before, but I'm trying my best to get back. I'm doing volunteer work three times a week, and starting to go back to school in January to get a master's degree. I'm trying my best to get ready, and I wanted to share that I had this beautiful reference letter written for me at a library where I volunteer that makes me proud.



She wrote this for a scholarship for those who had a TBI that I happened to win! It's a tiny scholarship, but still makes me proud. :-)

I think I was fortunate in that a lot of my poker brain wasn't damaged and I happen to be doing ok so far!

So life is good (for once)! Looking forward to going back to school, still keeping poker as a part of me, and getting better all around.
