Was this a good shove or a bad shove? (Flopped two pair) Was this a good shove or a bad shove? (Flopped two pair)

Hey everyone. I was late into a tournament and I shoved, only to get knocked out by a guy who flopped a Full House. I was just wondering if you think this was a good shove or not?

Here are the details:

Players left: 14
Places paid: 8
Stack: 21,000 (21 big blinds)

Here is how the hand went:

Hand:K8o
Position: Big blind
Opponents: One player in the cutoff

The player limped, and I checked.

Flop: J8J

I figured that the only way he could possibly be ahead of me was if he had Jx, 99, TT, JJ, QQ or KK. Since he limped, only Jx was probable, but it was highly unlikely that he had that hand.

And since my hand was vulnerable to over pairs, I shoved to induce him to fold. But he called.

It turned out he had J8 and had flopped a full house.

River/Turn: J8J98

Do you think this was a good shove or a bad shove? And how do you think I could play this hand better in the future?
